In Exodus 17:8-16, we read that Moses asked Joshua to select some men to go fight against Amalek. The day after, Moses would go to the hilltop to stand with God's rod in his hand. As Moses lifted his hands, Israel prevailed, but whenever he put his hand down, Amalek prevailed. As a church it is important that we stand with our pastor to tell the devil that we will not give up. He is not only attacking the leader, he is also attacking the church.
