Have we ever thought why God used someone like Rahab the prostitute? According to New International Version Hebrews 11:31 says By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.
Our ways are not God's ways neither is our thought is own. Often times, we focus more on the law that was written rather than looking at the cross where God's grace is made available. Rahab was not just hand picked to be used by God but rather God saw something in her more important and peculiar which was her faith! Rahab was specifically mentioned in the “hall of faith and among the women of faith we read of today” Hebrews 11 vs 31 says, “By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed and allowed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.
Our criticism thus make us lack understanding of the way God works. It is important to focus on the bright side of the cross and not on the dark moments of how the circumstances came up. When we do that, we criticized and not grab the lesson that is meant to nourished our spirit.
Rahab’s example thus help us till today. No matter our past, God expected of us to believe in Him and live out our faith through believe and action .In doing that, God can use us in powerful ways to change lives both now and for eternity! Be blessed as you listen to after the cut.
