Joshua was leading generation of people from Egypt to the land of Canaan which was flowing with milk and honey. In this context, Egypt symbolizes the world, Pharaoh symbolizes devil and the land of Canaan is Heaven on earth that symbolizes victorious filled life which God want every believer to enjoy.

Raising a Joshua generation means to sound a warning and teaching to each and every one of us that, even if we are like Joshua and his generation, who knew the Lord and experienced His power, this is no guarantee that our children, families, friends and the next generation will follow in our footsteps.
We need to play a significant role in helping to pass on the baton to the next generation with great care, because the race could easily be lost if we are careless with  the baton God placed in our hands.
