One bitter truth about life: You may start well without God but you can't end well without God. When someone rebels against God, he or she will ends in disappointment. Whatever we acquire outside of God's will eventually turn to ashes and it will vanish away.
What are ashes? Spiritually speaking, they are the remains of disobedience, rebellion, and sin that take us out of the will of God.
In this sermon, Dr. Stanley highlights the parable of the prodigal son to shed light on this spiritual truth. The son’s rebellion resulted in spiritual, relational, and physical poverty.
