Good morning friends and family of God Honor Strength, welcome to the beginning of the last week of 2016. I hope each of you had an amazing and blessed Christmas with your family and friends, with those that you love, including our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who's birthday we celebrated.
It has been almost two years now since I listened to God and followed his will and began this ministry, since I began sharing scriptures and my thoughts everyday, preaching a sermon each week and spreading God's word through my words. In 2016, through God's continued blessings I was able to launch the God Honor Strength website and have been able to reach believers all around the world to include Europe, Africa and even China and Russia. We serve an amazing God. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to have each and every one of you allow me to share my writings with you, to allow me to share God's words with you, each and every week. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time, your acceptance and your blessings.
My goal for 2017 is to expand this ministry even more. My hope for this coming year is to find a venue where I can stand (or sit) before you and video my sermons and if it is God's will, be able to preach from the pulpit before all who will listen.
As we close out this year, we can all probably look back and see all the good things and the bad things that have happened to each of us. No doubt we each have had ups and downs, peaks and valleys, highs and lows. Which do you remember more? Which do you dwell on more? Which do you thank God for?
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Everything you have been through, good, bad or indifferent, God had already written it in his plan for you. Every time you smiled, every time you cried, every time you cursed, every time you sought forgiveness; God had already planned the path for you to take. Now we all may make bad decisions or not the best choices at times, that may lead us astray from God's path, but rest assured, that too He had seen. Everything we each go through, He uses to refine us, to mold us, to make us into who we are meant to be. At the same time, you need to remember, He would never allow you to go through anything, to endure anything, that you could not handle. No matter the fire you end up in, God controls the thermostat. You may feel the heat, but he will not allow you to get burned. We may never fully understand the reason why some things happen, but we can always remember that God still sits on the throne and He remains in control.
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
As this year ends, this season ends, and we prepare to start a new year, a new season, a new chapter in our lives; we need to cherish all that happened and know that God used every situation to continue to develop us as his children, to help us become all he has created each of us to be. Do not dwell on the past for it has already happened; do not worry about the future for it is already planned. Live each and every day, thanking God for all he has done, all he has provided and all he will do. Place your trust fully in the Lord and this new season will be your best ever. Indulge me one minute more and allow me to end this sermon with one of my most favorite scriptures.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
As I speak a blessing over each of you this morning, always remember, I am here for you if you ever need to talk or get something off your chest or if you need prayer for yourselves, your family or your friends. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Dear Father God, thank you for blessing us with this day and loving us as Your children. Watch over each and every one of us as we start each day, as we go through this week, as we prepare to enter a new season in our lives, keeping us in the palm of Your hand. Guide us in our daily lives, directing us on the path You have planned for us, bringing forth the dreams you have planted in each of our hearts. For we know who we are and whose we are, children of the most high God. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
"Keep your Faith strong, your Hope alive and your Prayers never ending."
