This morning as I was sitting here, enjoying my first cup of coffee, I was contemplating what to preach about. You see, every morning I meditate and talk with God, and I will hear what he tells me and I share that with you. Well, this morning there were a few things He was sharing with me and placed on my heart. He said to share with my people, the words I have shared with you. This is the scripture that stood out from all the rest, the one that stopped me from being able to think about anything else until I shared it with each of you. When you read this scripture, think about society today, think about your own cities and towns, and everything that is happening everyday in this world, let alone our own country.
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
Let me ask you this, does any of that scripture seem familiar to you? Does is sound like anyone you may know, or have run into, or have seen in the news? Does it sound like our society? That is because it is society today, right now, right here in our every day lives. Watch the news, read your news alerts on your smart phone, scroll through your news feed on Facebook. You and I know the truth, we have been saved, we believe in God and we do our best to conduct ourselves as Christians. Unfortunately, I am sure we all know people who have strayed or have become lost. We as a society are more concerned with our social setting than our spiritual setting. We as a society have become everything that God has warned us about again and again in the bible. We as a society have forsaken him, pushed him from our schools, our towns, our cities, our lives. Our President, who we elected into office, our government, who we elected into office, our local leaders, who we elected into office, have made it socially unacceptable to be a Christian and publicly celebrate our faith. In fears of offending others, we as Christians have been told not to publicly display our own faith. The same faith that this country, our country, was built on.
"I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angles of God. But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."
Luke 12:8-10
Well let me tell you then what else God had placed on my heart this morning. The people who love God, who love this country, who have lost loved ones who were defending this country have spoken, and in a few weeks we will have new leaders in the White House. President Donald Trump, along with our Vice President Mike Pence, have both publicly stated that we need God back in this country again, and that we need to be One Nation Under God, again. I for one am tired of having to defend my faith, my family and my flag in my own country. As a veteran I have defended all of the same against others in this world, but to have to defend them here in my own country is a slap in my face and every other veteran and every other person who loves this county and who loves God. It is time for each of us as Christians, as men and women of Christ to stand up and let this country know and the world know that we are strong in the Lord and this nation will be again. We believe, we have faith, we have hope, we have been saved and we will do our part to save this country and all of Gods's people.
Unfortunately, there are far too many that have not been saved or have given up hope, or have been taught there is no God, and some of them have been running our country, but that is about to change. They believe that the lives they are living is all that there is. Far too many believe it is more important to be accepted by man than by God, and they are tearing our country apart and handing it over to others, but that is about to change. Too many believe that money and power and material things are the way to happiness, and perhaps in the short term it does; but in the end, true happiness can only come from one place, our Father in Heaven.
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."
Mark 16:15-16

Dear Father God, thank you for blessing us with this day and loving us as Your children. Watch over each and every one of us as we start each day, as we go through this week, as we prepare to enter a new season in our lives, keeping us in the palm of Your hand. Guide us in our daily lives, directing us on the path You have planned for us, bringing forth the dreams you have planted in each of our hearts. For we know who we are and whose we are, children of the most high God. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
