In a vision I saw the Lord sitting on a rock under the full moon. He had a staff in his hand.
He handed it to me and said, “Take the staff and go do damage to the enemies camp!
I am calling my people to listen to me and be willing to do prophetic acts to shift things in the spiritual realm. Not many wise, not many noble; I will use the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.
The staff of Moses can devour the kingdom of darkness. I will anoint the staffs of my people. So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers, so the magicians of Egypt they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs (Exodus 7:10-12).
Do you trust the Lord to swallow up every move of darkness in your life? This is the year of the line being drawn in the sand. The Lord is going to teach, train and equip you to wield your staff with power and might. You will not be like Moses who fled, when the staff turned to a serpent. But you will stand your ground and look fear squarely in the face. This will be a year of taking down giants in the land, because you have trusted the Lord. It will be a year of red sea partings, Mulberry tree and mountain movings, and gushers of water from the rock of refreshing. Lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground (Exodus 14:16).
When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him; and you will cross over to dryland. Not by power, not by might, but by the spirit of the living God. This will be a year of crazy faith. Things that you once thought would never break, will crumble to the ground before you. For the mountains my crumble, and the hills be removed, but my love for you will remain forever.
My covenant of blessing will never be broken, says the Lord, who has mercy on you (Isaiah 54:10). Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom, oh freedom. The guiding voice of the Lord is there, be still-be quiet and listen....
