Matthew 5:7 - Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.
God’s mercy is covenantal loyalty in action. Throughout Scripture are promises that His mercy is renewed each morning. God loves mercy.
This kind of loyalty and compassion begins at home and should be encouraged in our churches. We should then take mercy out into the streets with us, to our jobs, our neighbors, to those who are hurting and in need of our help.
The church without loyal mercy is a fraud. It becomes a house of legalism, nothing more than the religious keeping a set of rules made by man rather than God. If you are not currently in a church that is 100 percent loyal to the Word of God—refusing to edit or delete those parts that make people uncomfortable—you need to find a new church as soon as you can! Look for a place that preaches the uncompromised Word of God. For this unadulterated message, there is absolutely no substitute!
