I might be wrong, but I cannot find anywhere in the Bible where God had to allow evil things to happen to His people to teach them a lesson. Even when bad things happen to children of God, God always uses it to teach them a lesson.
Bible says all things work together for good – they might not feel good, but they are all working for good. Moses’ mother lost him to Pharaoh, at that point, she must have felt bad, but later when she saw her son leading hundreds of thousands of people away from bondage, she must have felt proud.
Listen to me, God had to use Moses cos the guy had learnt how to lead flock of sheep, and also familiar with palace protocol, so it was easy for him to relate with Pharaoh and his men. Everything you have been through is preparing you for your future. Never ever give up.
