I clearly heard this morning,”Have you counted the cost!” Or as David Wilkerson so beautifully puts it,”The Anointing is going to cost you something!”
It is costly precious oil, sowed in tears. Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume (John 12:3). Have you poured yourself out as a love offering to Jesus? If he had told you the cost of The Call in the beginning, would you still have said “Yes”...
The Lord started showing me how when you are sick, and you need an invasive procedure at the hospital. When they call you with instructions and preparations, they never tell you how painful it will be. They give you a list of do’s and don’ts before hand, and say,”It will be over before you know it.” God tells us, Why you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes (James 4:14). The Lord has such a limited time to try and get us to fulfill our whole purpose. Have you said “Yes” to the Master, or have you put Him on hold. This is a “Kairos” moment, the opportune time or season of harvest. But it is also”Chronos”, because you only have a certain number of days on this earth, and then your time is over. Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12)....
So the Lord informs me,”No, He did not tell us of the tears, betrayal, being mocked, persecuted for his name sake.” That we would have to lay down pride, luxury, self, comfort and anything to do with the pride of life. If we knew the cost before hand, or where the journey would lead; we would not have to stretch our faith muscles....
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7)....
