Forget The Good And Forget The Bad, Because You Can’t Go Back Again
Part One—
So many of you are living your life remembering a past that is gone forever. America is presently romantically remembering the 1950’s. It was a time of tranquility and security. We “liked Ike.” Everything was wholesome. Now we have abortion, AIDS, mass murder, homosexuality, pornography, and Satanism. It is no wonder we are clutching for the security of the past. But you cannot go back to the past; it’s over and done with. You can’t go home again.
Many of you are looking at a grand and glorious moment in your past and you’re trying to live in the glow of that glory. You can’t It’s gone forever. You can’t go home again. For some o f you the past was not grand and glorious, but bitter and painful. You’re looking back at a marriage that failed, buried in guilt and remorse. You tried your best, but he love of your life is gone, for whatever the reason, and your heart is crushed. You can’t go back to that. Some of you are mired in sorrow and heartache, looking back at the yawning mouth of a tiny grave where your precious baby was laid. You can’t go back to that. All the tears you can shed won’t change that. Some of you are remembering a business failure that destroyed your dreams. Some of you are remembering a bad decision you made that critically altered your life. It’s in the past and you need to forget it.
If the past was bitter, forget it. If the past was beautiful, forget it.
