The judgment of God is not coming to America; it’s here.  So the question must be asked:  Has America been obedient to God?  The answer is obviously no.  America’s number one problem is not the economy.  America’s number one problem is God, because God hates sin.  He always judges sin, and America is saturated with sin.  In truth, it would be proper for America to change our national symbol from an eagle to a buzzard.  I used to say that society was going to the dogs.  I no longer say that out of respect for dogs.

Consider the curse upon our cities.  Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 28:16, “Cursed shalt thou be in the city.”  And how is it in the cities of America?  Gangs rule the streets with guns.  The jails are flooded.  Murderers and rapists are turned loose on the streets, on early parole, and they roam the streets like packs of wolves looking for new prey.  When a criminal can hit you in the head with a pipe and he gets out of jail before you get out of the hospital, it’s wrong.

How do we turn things around?  The answer is in Deuteronomy 28:13, “And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them!
