Weak Enemies Are Defeating America by John Hagee

Deuteronomy 28:25—The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth.

Then there is the curse of enemies defeating your armies.  Remember that Israel lost the battle to Ai because of sin in Israel.  Weak enemies are defeating America.  We lost in Korea.  We lost in Vietnam.

What about Desert Storm?  What you saw in Desert Storm was triumph without victory.  It was the New World Order on parade.  But Saddam Hussein was left in power.  What happened in Desert Storm?  Number one, Israel was attacked, and God says that when it comes to keeping watch over Israel, He neither sleeps nor slumbers Psalm 121.  Second, the report has come to us from our spiritfilled chaplains there about unusual weather conditions they believe were divinely ordained.  Americans were worried about mine fields and the possibility of losing thousands of soldiers in the first two weeks of a ground war, but the night before the invasion an unexpected rainstorm washed the sand off the mines, exposing them in plain sight.  That’s the hand of God.

America has not been a winner in major warfare since World War II.  One whole generation has known nothing but defeat and humiliation at the hand of our enemies.  And that is the sign of a nation under the judgment of God.

God gave Joshua the reason for Israel’s defeat against Ai:  “Israel hath sinned…therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies…thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you” Joshua 7:1113.

Israel obeyed and went on to defeat Ai once the sin had been revealed and dealt with.  When America turns to God, He will extend His favor once again.
