Good morning friends and family of God Honor Strength, welcome to the beginning of a new week, a week where God wants to answer prayers and fulfill dreams for each of us. I hope each of you had an amazing and blessed Thanksgiving weekend, and were able to spend time with family and friends, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This morning I would like to talk to each of you about your beliefs. I am not talking about whether or not you believe in God, for surely I hope you do. I am talking more about your beliefs in what God and his Son, Jesus Christ can do for you; what they have already done for you; what they have planned for each of you. Every morning you wake up and open your eyes, you need to be thanking God for a new day, for being one step closer to His plans for you, for the prayers He is going to answer, for the love He has for you, for the doors he is going to open for you and for the people he will bring into your life, all which will propel you to where he has planned for you.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
It all starts with the belief that Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive each of us of our sins. In the natural world, we weren't even a thought yet, we weren't even a twinkle in any ones eye, except God's, and he gave up his one and only begotten son so that when we were born a sinner we could be forgiven. We could make the choice to believe that Jesus died for you, for me, for every person in this world. We simply need to accept him as our Lord and Savior.
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Romans 10:9-10
Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you believe in your heart that he sits at the right hand of his Father you have received the free gift of salvation, you have been saved. What greater gift is there to receive! Not only have you been saved, you now have the blessings of our Father in Heaven. You have a direct, uninterrupted, always available, everlasting channel, to God. He hears every thought in your mind, he feels every feeling in your heart, he listens to every word you pray, he touches every part of your life and the only thing you need to do is believe and to have faith.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
One of the most difficult aspects of our lives, especially when things aren't going our way, or the difficulties we face seem to be getting greater, is keeping our faith. We begin to doubt or question or become discouraged in God. Once you let that negativity into your heart and mind, you have opened the door and invited the enemy in. This is when we need to hunker down and truly believe in Him and keep our faith strong. We need to know in our hearts and our minds that He hears our cries for help, he listens to our prayers and he will deliver us all to the promises and dreams he has placed in our hearts. Never stop believing. Always keep your faith strong. Thank God for his Son, Jesus Christ.
As I speak a blessing over each of you this morning, always remember, I am here for you if you ever need to talk or get something off your chest or if you need prayer for yourselves, your family or your friends. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Dear Father God, thank you for blessing us with this day and loving us as Your children. Watch over each and every one of us as we start each day, as we go through this week, keeping us in the palm of Your hand. Guide us in our daily lives, directing us on the path You have planned for us, bringing forth the dreams you have planted in each of our hearts. For we know who we are and whose we are, children of the most high God. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
"Keep your Faith strong, your Hope alive and your Prayers never ending."
God Bless
