Part One—

1. Demons entice men to sin.  Demons carry out the will of Satan, which is to make sin attractive, exciting and irresistible.  Once the hook is set, only the power of the gospel can break the chains that drag the soul into the chambers of hell.

2. Demons deceive.  1 Timothy 4:12, “Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils demons.”

“In the latter times” refers to that period of time just before the Dispensation of Grace comes to a close.  In a word…NOW!  Men will depart from the plain truth of God, being drawn by seducing spirits into fad doctrines that excite people without bringing glory to Christ or producing a life of holiness.

The church today is riddled with fad doctrines and new sounds that distract from the clear message of the Great commission in the New Testament.  Any message that attracts you which does not bring glory to Christ is the message of a seducing spirit and the man giving it is in deception.

3. Demons enslave.  Paul wrote, “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba Father.”

Demons seek to enslave men to Satan.  Every drug addict is a slave to Satan. Every person addicted to pornography is a slave to Satan.  Every person living in fear, depression, debilitating doubt is a slave to Satan.  The only source of freedom is in Jesus Christ and the blood of His cross.

4. Demons torment.  In Matthew 17, Jesus cast the demon spirit out of a man’s son whom the demons cast into the water and into the fire.  Demons promote physical destruction in their subjects.  Evil spirits causing dumbness are recorded in Matthew 9:23-33, evil spirits causing blindness are recorded in Matthew 12:22, and evil spirits causing deformity are recorded in Luke 14:11-17.

When Jesus cast the demons out of the demoniac of Gadera and they entered the herd of swine, they ran down the slope into the Sea of Galilee where they drowned.

Case histories of youngsters experimenting with Satanism verify that they seem driven toward exceptionally violent suicide.  Never forget it…Satan’s objective is to kill you!
