That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6).
Your faith will be ineffective when you don’t know who you are, what you have, and your abilities in Christ. It’s so important to recognize and acknowledge your God-given potentials and blessings in Christ Jesus. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels…." In your spirit, there’re treasures and virtues; there’re good things in you. Everything about you is perfect and excellent! You have an exceptional quality of spirit; an excellent spirit.
Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Look at 2 Corinthians 5:17-18. It says "…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God…." Now, all the good things in you are placed there by God; an example is righteousness. Have you acknowledged His righteousness in you? 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
One reason some are experiencing things that aren’t of God in their personal lives is that they haven’t acknowledged the good things that are in them in Christ Jesus. Don’t accept what the world says about you. Only acknowledge what God has made you, given to you, and said about you in His Word. Acknowledge who you are in Him.
We can direct our faith towards whatever situation we’re confronted with for it to produce results. However, this happens through your recognition, and proclamation, of your heritage, origin, and abilities in Christ Jesus.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for helping me through the knowledge of the glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, to discover the priceless treasure you’ve deposited in my spirit. I acknowledge and walk in the light of my heritage, origin, and glory in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
