Good morning friends and family of God Honor Strength, welcome to the beginning of a new week, a week where God wants to touch the lives of all of us. I hope each of you had an amazing and blessed weekend, and were able to spend time with family and friends, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This morning I would like to talk to you about being uncomfortable. That feeling that you get when you are placed in a situation that you really don't feel good about.
Many times, we will find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation, and I don't know anyone who really enjoys that, but we have to remember, there are times God will allow us to go through an uncomfortable time to insure we are prepared for the time that is coming. The hardest thing I have learned as a Christian, as a Pastor, as a man of God, is to realize that everything that happens, everything I go through, is allowed by God. The same for each and everyone of you. Everything you go through whether by your own will or God's will, He allows, and we may not understand why, but He does. Now you need to realize, He will give you everything you need to live an amazing life, to live a Godly life, to live the live He has planned for you, but that decision, you have to make, no matter how uncomfortable it may become.
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires,
2 Peter 1:3-4
Whenever you are facing an uncomfortable situation, an uncomfortable time in your life, always remember to look to God. He has all the answers, all the comfort, all the grace, all the love you will ever need to get through whatever you are facing. Place your trust fully in the Lord and you will never have to go it alone. You will always have Him in your corner, always by your side, always inside you. Where we are weak, He will make us strong. Even when it feels like everyone is against you, or you do not see any way out, or you just don't have the answers, look to the One who breathed life into you, look to the One who has already made a plan for your life, look to the One who does understand.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
We all need God in our lives, we all know that, but what we sometimes forget is that He will guide us, direct us, instruct us in our every day lives. Sure, we all want to believe we know what is best for us, our families, our future, but we need to release that control and place it in the hands of God. I know that there are times that God may instruct you to do something that doesn't seem natural to you or take a path that doesn't make sense, or make you feel uncomfortable, but that is when you have to have faith in the one who created you. Believe in your Father in Heaven to guide you, to direct your, to lead you down the path that he has already laid out for you for the plan that has already been written.
There are three words that I live by, that I speak quite a bit and I use at the end of each of my sermons. I believe these three words sum up what we all need to follow, need to believe, need to live by every day. I would like for each of you to think about them. How strong are they in your life?
Faith...Hope...Prayer
As I speak a blessing over each of you this morning, always remember, I am here for you if you ever need to talk or get something off your chest or if you need prayer for yourselves, your family or your friends. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Dear Father God, thank you for blessing us with this day and loving us as Your children. Watch over each and every one of us as we start each day, as we go through this week, keeping us in the palm of Your hand. Guide us in our daily lives, directing us on the path You have planned for us, bringing forth the dreams you have planted in each of our hearts. For we know who we are and whose we are, children of the most high God. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
"Keep your Faith strong, your Hope alive and your Prayers never ending."
God Bless
