Galatians 3:1—O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Witchcraft is the power through which Satan carries out his will on earth!
Part One—
Right now, you are either under the authority of the Holy Spirit or you are under the authority of Satan and being manipulated by the spirit of witchcraft. “Oh, Pastor, I’m spiritfilled; I couldn’t possibly be under the influence of witchcraft.” Oh, yes, you can. Witchcraft is a work of the flesh. The Galatians were spiritfilled, they had miracles, yet Paul said they were under the power of the evil eye. Just because you claim to be spiritfilled does not mean that your home or your marriage or your church cannot be manipulated by the spirit of witchcraft.
You may believe that people under the influence of witchcraft have to be foaming at the mouth with a demon spirit. That’s wrong. St. Paul said in Galatians 5:19 that witchcraft is a work of the flesh. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication…idolatry, witchcraft…” He was talking about ordinary church people who had reflected the righteous authority of God. And when you reject the righteous authority of God, all there is left for you is the unrighteous authority of the devil, which is witchcraft.
Everything God does, he does through righteous authority. The authority of the home is the father. When anyone in your home—your wife, your children, your motherinlaw—tries to intimidate or manipulate you, they are attacking the spiritual authority of the home. They are attacking God’s plan for the home. And that’s witchcraft. The authority of the church is the pastor. When anyone tries to control him with threats, hateful letters, accusation or conspiracy, a la Jezebel, it’s rebellion against God’s delegated authority—and that’s witchcraft.
