He forgave us all our sins…
Satan was defeated at the cross!
Satan is determined to keep the world from grasping the fact he and his evil empire have been forever defeated at the Cross of Calvary. Jesus went to the Cross and stripped Him of all his authority and gave it to the believers.
Satan is called “the accuser of the brethren.” Why does he accuse us? What is his motive? It can be stated in one phrase: To make us feel guilty. As long as Satan can make you feel guilty over the past, you can’t defeat him. Guilt is the key to your defeat and the blood of the Cross is the key to our victory.
In 2 Corinthians 5:21, Paul wrote, “God made Him who had no sin Jesus to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” That’s the exchange. God took my sins and gave me the righteousness of His Son, Jesus Christ. NEVER allow Satan to drag up your past sins. They have been forgiven and forgotten. They have been buried in the deepest sea never to be remembered any more. When God sees you, all he can see is the righteousness of His perfect Son. It’s not possible for Him to see your sin. One thing God can’t do…He can’t remember your sin once it is forgiven by Jesus Christ.
