The Narrow Gate by Tammy Lang Jensen
Quiet resignation: The acceptance of something undesirable but inevitable, patience, forbearance, stoicism, acceptance, compliance... quietly resigned to do what I have asked with grace, honor and integrity.

You do not enter in through the narrow gate and become royalty without some sacrifice. What are you willing to abide without in this life, to have what I want for you in eternity. Jesus answered, if you want to be perfect go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me (Matthew 19:21). You can enter God‘s kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and it’s gate is wide for the many who choose that way (Matthew 7:13).

Thank goodness, God does not expect his children to be perfect, but he does expect them to be determined. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourself this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, are the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15). God will never make us choose him, but he will make us choose. No more riding the fence, with one foot in the world, and one foot following God.

He wants you all in or all out. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways (James 1:8). Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions?” If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, follow him. But the people did not answer him a word (1 Kings 18:21). Lord, give me a pure and divided heart toward you, help me to choose wisely and reflect your wisdom in all I do.

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 11:19). Teach me your way Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name (Psalm 86:11). God is always striving to bring oneness, balance, UNITY to his people. You never hear of Father, Son and Holy Ghost striving against one another. Holy Trinity: three and one.... The Bible makes it plain and simple.

They were of one heart and one accord. All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had (Acts 4:32). Everyone is calling for revival and Pentecost, saying, “We are waiting on God!” Well maybe God is waiting on us, how long has he been calling for UNITY! When the day of Pentecost came, they were ALL TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE (Acts 2:1)....
