His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12).
Do you want to be in the barn, or found destroyed by disaster? Do you want the strength, and peace, and comfort of a Savior’s arm; or the weeping and gnashing of teeth of doomed souls. No longer will you straddle the fence, but I clear choice must be made. Yes, this is truly the season of open doors.
But, there is a second part to that. The doors you choose in this dispensation carry weight and gravity. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to Eternal life (Matthew 25:46). My pastor has a saying that makes it really simple. As a believer, life on earth is the only hell we will ever know. But, for the nonbeliever, life here is the only heaven they will ever see. Lord lead me to the right open door, crucify my rebellious heart. Let your words be a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
God is highlighting and illuminating His called out ones, searching for his purple cloth remnant.
