The Threshing Floor by Tammy Lang Jensen
The Lord woke me up to these words. I have had my people upon the threshing floor. There has been much thrashing around and complaining.

But the very thing they are warring against, is doing them the most good. So when you suffer for my namesake, count it all joy. The very thing you dislike, the thorn in your side is bringing about a maturity in character. His winnowing fork is in his hand and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12).

One thing I know about our God, is he will have his way. If you have invited him in or said,”Here I am Lord, use me!” Then the best thing you can do is breathe through the process. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5). The Lord will cut off every branch that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful (John 15:2). The Lord wants you to be lush, fruitful, mature and kind enough to help his people. He can change people without you, he is God after all. But isn’t it nice to be afforded the opportunity to be part of the process. To have the king of the universe trust you with his words. Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant (2 Samuel 7:28). Those who know your name trust in you, for you Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you (Psalm 9:10).

The Lord’s word is full of advice on how to be pleasing to him and a useful vessel in his hands. A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret (Proverbs 11:13). Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe (Proverbs 28:26). Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf (Proverbs 11:28). And really no verse sums it all up quite like this one: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

He will guide your path, and keep your feet from falling. You broaden the path beneath me so that my ankles do not give way (Psalm 18:36). Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble (Hebrews 12:12). So I decree and declare over you today: Strength, strength, strength; so the Lord can use you at your full potential. Nothing lacking, and everything right on time. So again I am reminded of the Lord’s heart cry. That you are a willing surrendered vessel in the hands of the Lord....HERE I AM LORD, USE ME!!!!
