If she is wearing very strong heavy perfume, people will move away from her. However, if she is wearing something light and delicate, perhaps something that even invokes childhood memories, you will move closer to catch the fleeting pleasing aroma.
The Lord said, our actions, words, deeds and prayers come before him like an incense. Some are pleasing, and some are not. What are you speaking over yourself or others. Are you wielding your mouth like a covering or a sword that cuts. We will answer one day for every idle word ever spoken. I tell you on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they have spoken (Matthew 12:36). Most people, even nonbelievers, believe in guardian angels. But a little less known angel is a scribe angel that has been with you since birth.
His solitary job until the day you die is to write down everything you say, so at the end of your days, you can give account. Whether or not you believe this is up to you, but the Bible is very clear that you will give account for your words. May my prayers be counted as sweet-smelling incense, and think of my lifted hands as an evening sacrifice (Psalm 141:2). When we are praying, encouraging, loving, surely we are at our best. But what about when we are frustrated with our children and complain to a friend,”My child never minds, they are so disrespectful.” Well that may be the truth of the situation, but we have to be cautious what we speak over them. We are to speak to those things that be not, as though they are.
Again he said to me, prophesy over these bones and say to them,”O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord” (Ezekiel 37:4). Son of Man, can these bones live? Our answer should be yes, come together bone to bone. Are you prophesying the desert or the land of plenty. And I promise that I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amonites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:17). Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones (Proverbs 16:24). Proclaim victory over your friends today, proclaim victory over yourself today. Call fourth dreams, destiny and provision.
Make sure your words are full of faith, your life is full of purpose, and your actions full of grace. I prophesy a double portion of grace and mercy over you today. And may the Lord fill your mouth with prosperity and your home with love. And may you always have enough to be a blessing to others. And may the Lord help you with this morning declaration: Lord, put a guard over my mouth today, lest I sin against you.
May you always be a sweet aroma before the Master’s nose....
