It Is Not Good To Be Alone, But You Are Always Alone If You Cannot Or Will Not Communicate!
Breakdown in communication, second only to adultery, is cited as one of the top five reasons for divorce today.
A woman went to her lawyer seeking a divorce, and the lawyer asked her, “Do you have grounds?” She said, “Yes, we have about an acre and a half.” The lawyer said, “No, that’s not what I’m after. What I mean is, do you have a grudge?” She said, “No, we have a carport.” “Lady, what I’m asking you,” The lawyer said, “Is your husband beat you up? The woman said, “No, I get up before he does every morning.” Finally, in exasperation, the lawyer said, “Lady, I’m asking you: what is the problem with your marriage?” The woman replied, “We can’t communicate with each other.”
The man who cannot communicate is alone. The man who is married and will not communicate is alone. You can be alone in a crowd. You can go to church and be alone. You can be alone the rest of your life, stranded on an island you have created, because you can’t communicate to the person who means the most to you.
