Jesus Has Given You His Peace by Joseph Prince
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you…

In Israel, Jews greet each other with the words “shalom, shalom”. Unlike the English word “peace”, “shalom” does not just mean peace of mind, but also wholeness for your entire being—spirit, soul and body. It means having a sense of completeness and soundness. In other words, shalom encompasses your provision, health and total well-being.

When Jesus spoke to His disciples in John 14:27, He did not use the English word “peace”. He would have used the Hebrew word “shalom”, saying, “Shalom I leave with you, My shalom I give to you…” Interestingly, the word “leave” here actually means “bequeath”, the way a rich man bequeaths his estate to his beneficiary.

The disciples must have been excited when they heard that Jesus was bequeathing them His shalom. They must have known that to receive His shalom was to have His health because they had never seen Him sick. To have His shalom also meant never being in lack because He was never broke. Whenever He needed money, money was there. Once, money to pay the temple tax came in the mouth of a fish! (Matthew 17:24–27)

The disciples also understood that having Jesus’ shalom meant having His abundance because they had seen Him meeting the needs of thousands with plenty of leftovers. They saw him feeding 5,000 men (not counting the women and children) with 12 baskets full of leftovers! (Mark 6:34–44)

Jesus wanted His disciples to know that His peace was different from the peace that the world offers. His peace would change whatever trying circumstances that beset them. Even if it was a mega storm, it would have to bow to His peace. The Prince of Peace merely spoke, “Peace, be still!” and the winds and the sea obeyed Him. (Mark 4:39) His peace changed the mega storm into a perfect calm.

Beloved, that is the kind of peace that Jesus has bequeathed to you. Therefore, believe that His shalom which He has left with you will change all your difficult situations, bringing you from sickness, lack and mental anguish to health, provision and total wellness!

Thought For The Day

Jesus has bequeathed you His shalom, which does not just mean peace of mind, but also wholeness for your spirit, soul and body.

Notice the Little Things by Joyce Meyer
What time I am afraid, I will have confidence in and put my trust and reliance in You.— Psalm 56:3

One day as I was going into an office building, a man standing nearby opened the door for me. I thanked him and smiled.

“You’re the fifth person I’ve held the door for,” he said, “and you’re the first one to smile and the second to thank me.”

I thanked him a second time, with a smile on my face. Afterward, I thought how much we take others for granted, even in simple things, such as opening a door for a stranger.

We often commend people when they do big things for us, but how often do we appreciate the little things?

When someone does something nice for you and you thank them, it builds them up and encourages them. It means a lot to them, just like it did to that man at the office building.

Did your bus arrive on time today? If so, did you thank the driver? The last time you ate at a restaurant, did you thank the waiter for filling your coffee cup a second time without being asked? This is the point I want to make: Develop an attitude of gratitude toward the people in your life.

Let God Be God by Joel Osteen
"Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him…"(Psalm 37:7, NKJV)

TODAY'S WORD:
Are you struggling with trying to make a dream come to pass? Are you frustrated in a relationship, trying to make someone else change or live right? You may mean well, you may have good goals, but if you are trying to orchestrate things to happen your way, on your timetable, you are only going to frustrate yourself. At some point, you have to turn those circumstances over to God and trust that He has your best interest at heart.

How do you turn things over to God? Start by making the choice and declaring your resolve. Simply say, “Father, I choose to let You be God of this situation. I take my hands off. I trust You.” Then, choose to worship Him. Worship is one of the best ways to set your heart and mind in the right place. You can’t worry and worship at the same time! Worship is a sign that you are trusting God; worry is a sign that you are trying to control things.

Today, take the pressure off yourself and turn things over to God. Give Him control and let Him take your setbacks and turn them into comebacks. Remember, the God who holds the universe holds you in the palm of His hand. Trust Him and let God be God in every area of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, today I choose to release every care and concern into Your loving hands. I refuse to worry and choose to trust. Fill me with Your peace. Show me Your ways as I surrender every area of my heart and life to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Extraordinary Miracles by Jerry Savelle
October 3, 2017
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them (Acts 19:11-12 NKJV).

In the scripture above, the Amplified Bible translates special miracles as “unusual and extraordinary miracles.” In other words, these miracles were not the norm.

When clothing that touched Paul’s body was placed on people who were sick or demon possessed, those people were made whole and delivered. That was not the norm; it was an extraordinary occurrence. Paul had always experienced miracles in his ministry, but then he entered into a new dimension of miracles that had not happened to him before.

I’ve had miracles in my life and ministry, but I hear God saying, “I’m going to do miracles in the days ahead that you’ve never before seen done quite this way.” Of course, every miracle is extraordinary, but God is saying, “The way I’ve performed the miracles you’ve seen is not the only way I can perform them. I’m going to show you new ways in the days ahead.”

Brother Oral Roberts once sat in my home and described a service he held under his big tent. Suddenly, the anointing of God swept through the place healing every sick person and delivering every demon-possessed person. Brother Roberts never laid his hands on anyone as the Shekinah glory of God filled that tent. Everyone just fell on the floor, and when they got up they were healed!

Brother Roberts went on to say God had visited him and told him these extraordinary occurrences of healing and miracles were coming back to the Body of Christ. I believe God is going to do extraordinary miracles in the days ahead, the likes of which we’ve never seen before.

Will you take part in this new season of extraordinary miracles?

Confession: As a member of the Body of Christ, I confess that I am entering a new season of extraordinary miracles. I expect to see God move in ways I’ve never seen before as He pours out His goodness, His favor, and His love upon me and all those who will stand in faith on His Word.

Fight Fire With Fire by Deborah Waldron Fry
Beloved. Do not be afraid. Fight fire with Fire. GREATER is He who is in you than he who is in the world. In the midst of chaos, My Light is shining. In the darkness, My Warriors are rising up with hearts on Fire.

It is My Praying Remnant that restrains evil. The devil knows his time is short. His desire is to gain control. But he cannot, Dear One. I have overcome the world. I am the Light of the world and the dark one can never succeed against you.I have called you out of darkness, and into My marvelous Light. Look to Me, Dear One, and not to the world. My eyes are flames of Fire, defeating every plan of the enemy and filling you with My Power. My Spirit in you is burning a Path of Glory for you to follow through this present evil age.

You have been well trained, My Warrior Bride, for just such a time as this. The powers of darkness cannot touch you, Dear One. You walk in the Light of Life. Darkness will NEVER overcome you for My Holy Spirit Fire burns in your heart. Rejoice, Precious One, for soon, I shall destroy this Wicked One with the brightness of My Coming.

Arise and shine, Mighty Warrior. I am with you! Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights. You are My special Possession. Fear not! The devil is NO match for the Fire you carry! I am your Shield and Helper and your Glorious Sword. Release My Fire through the Breath of your mouth, and watch what I will do!

...Deuteronomy 33:29 Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights."

....John 1:5 - And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

...John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, "I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

...Luke 24:31Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus and He disappeared from their sight. 32They asked one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

...1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

...2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Breath of His Mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.

Quit Wading Around by John Hagee
Philippians 3:14—I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Quit Wading Around In The Bone Yard Of Your Past, Griping And Grumbling About How Pitiful Life Is.  Start Rejoicing In Your Salvation And Recognize That You Are A Child Of The King!
Go back with me in the theater of your mind and see two Hebrew men who are on their way to work to make bricks for Pharaoh.  They’re talking as they’re on their way to the mud hole.  Howard says to Herman, “Look, we’ve been talking about this promise of God delivering us from Pharaoh’s bondage.  But do you see any way God could possible get us out of here?  I mean, we’ve been here for 400 years.  Pharaoh has the mightiest army on the face of the earth.”  Herman says, “Yeah, I know.  It looks impossible.”  Howard agrees.  “How are we going to be fed?  There are at least two million of us.  That would take millions of pounds of food a day.  How are we going to be able to do that out in the wilderness?  It’s impossible.  And where are we going to get water for two million people and our cows?  It is impossible.  We’ll get out there and die, Herman.  You know it’s 120 degrees in the day and at night it’s freezing.  How are we gonging to ever be able to survive out there?

Some of you have that mentality.  You’ve thought, “There’s no way God can get me out of this mess.  I know God created the heavens in seven days, he spared the family of Noah in the flood, and he held the sun still for Joshua, but he can’t help me, bless God.  Poor pitiful me.”

Saints of God, nothing is impossible with our God.  Nothing is impossible in your job situation.  Nothing is impossible in your marriage.  Nothing is impossible in your marriage.  Nothing is impossible in your messed up finances, your health, and your addictive habits.  You may believe you have no reason to live, with every dream in your life shattered and crushed.  But today, you can be free —free because Jesus Christ has made us free…all you have to do is receive it in His name!
