Now more than ever, people seek freedom from religion!

It is no secret that our forefathers fled England to escape abuse of governmental power.  The Declaration of Independence shines on the roots of our nation’s moral foundations:

We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Dr. Norman Geisler, Dean of the Veritas Graduate School in Charlotte, North Carolina, points out that the “Founding Fathers, in accordance with Moral Law, affirmed their belief in 1 a Creator God, 2 Creation that man was created, and 3 Godgiven ‘unalienable rights’.”  So why did we depart from our roots?

The shift from the will of the people to the imposition of the will of the court has been a gradual one—this did not happen overnight.  The problem within our society today is that the majority of our citizens have turned their backs on moral absolutes.  There is no right and there is not wrong—everything is relative.  Humanism, defined as a “nonreligious philosophy base on liberal human values,” has saturated our society, little by little, and as a result we are racing down the road to complete and total moral annihilation.

After all, if there is no God in heaven to decide what is right and wrong, then it is man’s prerogative to determine right and wrong.  If he can ignore God, he can ignore God’s laws such as The Ten Commandments and the Bible.  Instead he permits himself to do otherwise.  Never before has there been such polarization between good and evil in our society and the world at large.  We are facing a war against Christianity and a cultural war for the soul of the nation.
