Focus on Him by Pastor Mark Jensen
Good morning friends and family of God Honor Strength, welcome to the beginning of a new week, a week where anything and everything is possible when God is first in your life. I hope each of you had an amazing and blessed weekend, and were able to spend time with family and friends, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

This morning as I am sitting here, I find myself very tired, almost to the point of exhaustion. We all lead very busy, hectic, sometimes chaotic lives, where we find ourselves with barely enough time to even catch our breath and before we are even aware of it, the day is gone, another week has gone by, it is a new month. Unfortunately, that is the world we live in today, everything needs to be done as quickly as possible, no time to slow down, no time to enjoy anything. That is society today and it seems to dictate the way we live our lives and in doing so the ever real fear of becoming lost, becomes reality. Not so much in the sense of not knowing where we are, but more so not being where God wants us to be, where he has planned for us to be. This is when we need to mentally, emotionally and spiritually, seek out our Father in Heaven.

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deuteronomy 4:29
I have mentioned this before I am sure, probably a few times, but it is just as important today as it was yesterday and as it will be tomorrow. We tend to get so caught up in our everyday lives, caught up in what is going on this world, what is going on in this country, we forget that ultimately, God is in control of everything. He is the Alpha and the Omega, He is the beginning and the end, He is the creator of all things. We need to continue to keep our focus on Him, no matter what is happening around us. We all know our country is in trouble and has fallen into the hands of the enemy, but that does not mean you or I have to follow suit, that we can't continue to worship our God, praise our God, honor our God for all he has done for us and all he will do for us. I know we now have amazing leadership in Washington trying to do what they can to save this once great nation, and we need to pray for them each and every day, but ultimately, God will determine the state of this union for these are His lands and we are His people.

For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.

Psalm 52:9
No matter where you are in your life, good, bad or indifferent, you need to drop to your knees and pray to God; honor him and praise him, just as I do every morning. Yes I have given my life to Christ, yes I have been baptized, yes I have received the Holy Spirit and yes I walk the righteous path God has laid out for me, but still I fall short of the glory of our Father in Heaven, just as we all do. Life is not about how much money you make or how big your house is or how nice your car is, but more so about what you can do to honor God, what you can do to help others, what you can do to save yourself. We all want to have nice things, we all want to be happy and live nice lives and feel good about ourselves, but without God in your life, it is all an illusion, it isn't real, it is just existing and not truly living. Our time on earth is only temporary, the truth is we are all going to leave this world one day and there will only be two choices for where you spend eternity, Heaven or hell.

My challenge to you, as well as to myself, is to take time each and every morning to thank God for this day and every day forward; to thank God for all that you have, all that he has given you, and to thank God for all he has planned for us and all that he will deliver to us. Keep God first place in every area of your life.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world by evil desires.
2 Peter 1:3-4

As I speak a blessing over each of you, always remember, I am here for you if you ever need to talk or get something off your chest or if you need prayer for yourselves, your family or your friends. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Dear Father God, thank you for blessing us with this day and loving us as Your children. Watch over each and every one of us as we start each day, as we go through this week, keeping us in the palm of Your hand. Guide us in our daily lives, directing us on the path You have planned for us, bringing forth the dreams you have planted in each of our hearts. For we know who we are and whose we are, children of the most high God. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
"Keep your Faith strong, your Hope alive and your Prayers never ending."
God Bless
Pastor Mark
