Satan Was Cast Out Of Heaven For Leading One Third Of The Angels In An Open Rebellion Against The Authority Of God!
Satan was created by God as an archangel! God describes him: “You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you” Ezekiel 28:15.
Satan is a spirit being Isaiah 14, Matthew 25:41, Revelation 12:9 who is finite and limited. He has the ability to take physical form.
There are five “I will” statements of Satan recorded in Isaiah 14:12-15 as he seeks to rise above the sphere in which he was created or placed by God. Satan openly asserts his will against the will of the Most High God:
1. “I will ascend to heaven…” His absolute desire is to occupy the throne of God.
2. “I will raise my throne above the stars of God.” Satan is not seeking equality; he seeks supremacy.
3. “I will sit on the mount of assembly.” According to Scripture, the mount of the assembly is the center of God’s kingdom rule, which is the city of Jerusalem. Satan knows that the seed of King David will rule all humanity from his throne in Jerusalem. Therefore, he is saying, “I want to rule all humanity from the city of Jerusalem,” which is exactly what the AntiChrist will try to do before God stops him.
4. “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds.” There are three heavens as verified by St. Paul 2 Corinthians 12:21. It is the third heaven where God’s sits and where Satan wants to sit as supreme ruler of humanity.
5. “I will make myself like the most High.” Satan wants to be like God so he chose to rebel against Him and became a supernatural counterfeit…not a replacement.
