Don't Be Like Lot's Wife by Tammy Lang Jensen
If an avalanche rumbled in the distance, or you were aware of an impending flood. I am sure you would move out of the strike zone.

However, when your Father’s voice booms from heaven of impending danger; it is as if your feet have become anchored to the floor. What are we so attached to in this life anyway.

Will you be like Lot’s wife, found looking back at the depravity left behind. But Lot’s wife look back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26). All things are made new in Christ. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Grab hold of your new life and run with it. God has the adventure of a lifetime just waiting on you.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them (Romans 8:28). Are you walking in your purpose or God‘s purpose? And how do you know the difference, Free will can be such a tricky thing. Learn to follow the heart of your Father. The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness” (Jeremiah 31 :3). So Josiah removed all the testable idols from the entire land of Israel and required everyone to worship the Lord their God. And throughout the rest of his life time, they did not turn away from the Lord, the God of their ancestors (2 Chronicles 34:33).

If you turn your face towards him, he has promised to shine his light on you. When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life” (John 8:12). What a beautiful promise from our God who loves us with an everlasting love. Those who walk with Jesus will never walk alone. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand (Psalm 40:2).

When disaster comes calling, and your old life beckons, luring you to roam. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb. The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire (2 Peter 2:22). So when the enemy comes knocking, let Faith answer the door. Boldly declare: On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand!!!!
