Anything that troubled you in 2017, don’t bring it into your new year. I hear God say, “NAIL IT TO THE CROSS!”

Leave it at the altar, lay it at my feet. You will cast our sin into the sea of forgetfulness. Once again you will have compassion on us.

You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! (Micah 7:19). Deep calls to deep in the roar of your water falls; all your waves and your billows have swept over me (Psalm 42:7). Your love for me endures forever. For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God‘s love.

Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow— not even the powers of hell can separate us from God‘s love (Romans 8:38). Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Walk in pure and perfect love, and the enemy will have no hold on you.

He came to kill and steal and destroy. I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails!!! (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

If we could truly learn to love one another, in it’s purest form, we could stop the enemy dead in his tracks. Try being kind today to someone who has done you wrong. Try over looking an offense. In doing this, you will heap burning coals upon their head, and the Lord will reward you (proverbs 25:22). If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. When someone has done you wrong.

It says nothing about you, and everything about them. Love your enemies, give the devil a headache. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me (Matthew 5:11). Today follow your great example Jesus Christ! Daily pick up your cross and follow him....
