Ask Him Anything by John Hagee
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

If the Bible had only this one verse, it would be the best book on the planet earth. This verse says that you can talk to God, ask Him anything at all--in faith believing--and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Prayer is the greatest adventure we mortals could ever have, and among our most powerful weapons. When you discover the awesome power that God has given you with this industrial-strength tool, your prayer life will never cease.

In ancient Israel, the high priest would petition to the Lord on behalf of the people. But the veil was torn in two from top to bottom as Jesus cried out, "It is finished!" With those three powerful words, we were each given the opportunity to approach God the Father ourselves. Think about the power behind that option...speaking directly to the Creator of all things.

As you walk through the highways and byways of life, remember that God is ready, willing, and able to meet your every need. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and numbers the hairs on your head. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Call on His holy name and get ready to shake the foundations of the earth!

How to Handle Hurts by Dr. Charles Stanley
THURSDAY
01
Ephesians 4:30-32

Are you carrying wounds around with you wherever you go? Maybe someone said or did something hurtful to you yesterday, and you can’t seem to get it out of your mind. Or perhaps the offense occurred many years ago, and it’s still affecting you today. Despite your attempts to bury the pain, it keeps rising to the surface.

God doesn’t want us to live under a cloud of emotional pain. In today’s passage, He provides the way out if we’re willing to take it.

Recognize our own sin (v. 30). Although the other person’s guilt seems much greater, we can’t hide behind the label of “victim.” Wrongdoers will be held answerable to God for their actions, but we are accountable for our response. That’s why we’re warned not to grieve the Holy Spirit.

Let go of sinful responses (v. 31). The only way to move forward is to drop all bitterness, anger, and malice toward our offender. Each time we rehearse the wrong, relive the pain, and feel resentment rise up within us, we’re responding in a sinful manner instead of walking in obedience to the Spirit. To be healed of our hurts, we must put away such things.

Forgive (v. 32). As people forgiven of every sin we’ve ever committed, we have no right to hang on to others’ offenses.

Each time we submit to the Spirit, He moves us forward in forgiveness. If the pain is deep, the progress may be slow. Nevertheless, continue obeying God in an attitude of forgiveness. You’ll discover that as you let go of the offense, the hurt you’ve been carrying will be lifted as well.

Seek Him First by Jerry Savelle
November 1, 2018
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)

Simply put, to be righteous means to be in a state of right standing with God. And without that sense of right standing, which is ours because of what Jesus did at the cross, we can never truly know Him.

There are those who study the Bible to find some “secret formula” or “get-rich-quick” scheme so that their needs will be met. Truth be told, when you study the Bible so that you can know Him, you’ll discover that your relationship will put you in a position to have your every need met.

This is why Jesus said to first seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness; everything else would be added. The revelation that God wants to bless us is valid. However, some people have no desire to seek and know God; they only want what He will give them.

Others have never really entered into a knowing relationship with God. They know about Him, but they don’t know Him. And because they don’t know Him, they tend to believe things about Him that simply aren’t true.

I hear Christians say, “I don’t know God’s will for my life.” And I always tell them, “When you get to know Him, you’ll know His will for your life.”

Make the decision to seek God first, to study His Word so that you will know Him more intimately. When you seek Him to know Him, everything else you need will always follow.

Confession: Today I choose to set aside any “things” that I may have been seeking. I commit to seek God first, to know Him more intimately as I trust that the other things I have need of will be added to me.

Romans 4:8
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”

You are blessed today because all your sins are forgiven in Christ. God does not count your sins against you. Instead, He counts you righteous in Christ. That is why you are the blessed man to whom the Lord does not and will not impute sin!

What happens to such a man? Let’s look at the story of Jacob to find out.

The Bible records how Jacob had deceived his father and cheated his elder brother Esau of his firstborn blessing (see Genesis 27:1–41). Yet, in spite of his sin of deception, God chose to speak to Jacob. And no, God did not say to this cheat, “You terrible sinner! How can you deceive your own father? You are cursed!”

No, to deceitful Jacob, God said, “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants…Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you” (Genesis 28:13–15). Here was a man to whom God did not impute sin!

God did not rebuke Jacob at all. Instead, we hear Him telling Jacob, “I will give to you…I am with you…I will keep you…I will bring you back…I will not leave you…” Jacob certainly did not deserve these blessings. This is one man who walked in the truth of Romans 4:8—“Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin”! Now, I am not encouraging you to sin, but I want you to see the love and grace of God toward us.

If Jacob was so blessed, how much more you and I today, who are under the new covenant of grace established by the blood of Jesus. How much more is our blessedness because Jesus has removed all our sins at the cross!

Beloved, because of Jesus’ finished work, God does not impute sin to you. What He does impute to you is righteousness apart from works (see Romans 4:6). And because you are righteous, get ready for His blessings (see Proverbs 10:6)!

Did you know that the word worry comes from the Old English wyrgan, which means “to strangle?” If we let them, worry and stress literally choke the joy out of our lives. So how are you handling worry?

Worry pulls us away from God’s power, but worship draws us to Him, and His presence changes us.

A Much Higher Purpose by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
…our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3).

Ask many people, “Why did Jesus come?” They’ll mostly answer, “He came to save us from sin,” or “He came to destroy the works of the devil.” But Jesus came to do much more than “save” us from sin, and destroy the works of the devil; all that was a means to an end. He came for a much higher purpose.

In John 10:10 AMPC, for example, He said, “...I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” So, Jesus came to give us life, but again, that’s one of the stated purposes. 1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” This is so powerful, and it consummates His purpose for coming.

If He only saved us or destroyed the works of the devil or gave us life, without bringing us into fellowship or oneness with Himself and with the Father, all the foregoing would have never been enough.

He saved us from sin, and gave us His life, to make it possible for us to become one with the Father; He brought us into fellowship—the fellowship of the God. kind. This is the amazing blessing that Jesus brought to us—the big thing that He made possible—fellowship with the Father. Now, anything that belongs to the Father belongs to us; we’re heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ. Glory to God!

Prayer:
Precious Father, thank you for your boundless love and grace towards me that has elevated me to your class of being, making me an associate of the Godkind. My joy knows no bounds as I relish the benefits of my fellowship, oneness, and partnership with you, now and evermore, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Open Heavens: Adonai by Pastor E.A Adeboye
Thursday November 1st 2018
Memorize: The earth is the LORD’S ,and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

Read: job 38:1-11
1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

Bible in one year:
Jeremiah 33-34
Luke 14:7-24,

Hymnal:
sing Hymn 2

Message:
Adonai is one of our Heavenly Father’s numerous names, and it means Master and Owner. This Name encapsulates the sovereignty of our God. Indeed, our God is sovereign, because He owns everything and is in absolute control over the entire universe. He holds all the power in heaven and on earth in His hands. He is totally unlimited! Every other thing was created but He alone is self-existing. Because of this, He is not limited by resources, time, space or any other thing; whereas all other things, including the contraptions of men's hearts called gods, are limited by the laws He has installed in His sovereignty to govern the universe. He has the power to do whatever He likes however He likes and whenever He likes. What a great God He is!

It is easy for man to think that life is all about him, and that God exists for his benefit. Nothing could be further from the truth. Everything God has done or has given to you is for His glory alone. For this reason, in Revelation 4:11, the twenty-four elders in heaven adore Him saying:

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and Honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

He made everything for His pleasure, even you. My advice to you is that you willing put yourself under His lordship and leadership; if anything at all, learn from Pharaoh. Pharaoh resisted God, and so God decided to use him to show how much of a consuming fire He can be (Exodus 5:2, Exodus 14:4). A Christian is called into submission to our Heavenly Father’s will. When you submit to His will, He will ensure that everything else submits to you.

If the sovereign God is your Friend, you are immensely blessed, because He can overrule sicknesses, debts, curses, negative prophecies and even death! However, when this God is angry with anyone, that person is finished. In Acts 12:23, King Herod was eaten up by worms because God was angry with him. God is angry with the wicked everyday (Psalm 7:11)! The wicked is anyone who continues to live in sin and disobedience. Proverbs 29:1 says that anyone who refuses to change in spite of being corrected over and again will be destroyed suddenly. If you have never given you life to Jesus or if you claim to have given your life to Him but still live in sin, repent now! When the Sovereign God is angry with you, nobody can defend you. Sin makes on an enemy of God (James 4:4). You have to wholly yield yourself to Him by surrendering every single part of your life to Him, inviting Him to take over. He is always ready to take responsibility for our life; all He is waiting for is your invitation. Are you willing to Invite Him today?

Action point:
Ask the Adonal to override every limiting factor in your life by his sovereign

The Power of Love by Kenneth Copeland
But faith...worketh by love.
Galatians 5:6

I used to wonder why we believers didn't see more of the power of God operating among us than we do. With what we know about faith and the Word, it seemed to me signs and wonders and miracles should be happening all the time.

So, one day I asked, "Lord, why isn't the power of God turned up to a higher volume in the Church?"

Do you know what He said? He told me we weren't walking in enough love yet.

God wants us to have power. But first, He has to be sure we'll use that power in love. He wants to know that we won't take it and mix it with judgment and criticism and blast people out of the water.

Kenneth, He said, I can't afford to back your words with supernatural power in a church service on Sunday morning and then have you get on the freeway that night and lash out at someone because he pulled over into your lane. You'd blow him off the highway. I can't leave the power of Almighty God at a high volume in the mouth of an unmerciful fool.

Then He reminded me of a time I took my son, John, hunting. He was just a little guy at the time, barely big enough to keep his gun from knocking him on his back every time he'd pull the trigger. I was teaching him how to shoot, and he was coming along pretty well.

That day we were walking along out at Gloria's grandparents' farm and John spotted one of the biggest tarantula spiders I'd ever seen. It was clinging to the wall of the barn. When John saw that spider, he took aim. He was going to blow that bug away.

If I hadn't stopped him, he would have too. And it wouldn't have dawned on him until it was all over that he was going to blow a hole in the barn at the same time. From my grown-up perspective, I could see that would be foolishness. He couldn't. He was looking through the eyes of a child.

Do you want God to put a shotgun of spiritual power in your hand, so you can blow the works of the devil to kingdom come? Then focus on love. Pursue it. Practice it. Study it. Grow up in it. Then you'll see the power of God operating through you.

Triumph in Affliction by Billy Graham
You don't understand now why I am doing it; some day you will.
—John 13:7 (TLB)

May I remind you that physical illness is not the worst thing that can happen to you? Some of the most twisted, miserable people I have ever met had no physical handicap. Some of the world’s greatest and most useful people have been handicapped.

“The Messiah” was composed by Handel, who was suffering from a paralyzed right side and arm. Catherine Booth, in the last year of her life, said that she could not remember one day free from pain.

Helen Keller has written, “I thank God for my handicaps, for through them I have found myself, my work, and God.” Some of the most radiant Christians I have ever met were “wheelchair” saints. May God give you grace to “triumph in affliction.”

Read more about God in the midst of physical illness and pain.

Prayer for the day
When physical afflictions come into my life, may they draw me closer to You, my beloved Lord Jesus Christ.

A Wall of Mighty Angels by Deborah Waldron Fry
I saw in the Spirit, an attempted invasion of a demonic army upon the camp of the Righteous. Suddenly, a Wall appeared, a Wall of Mighty Angels standing between the demons and the tents of the Believers.

A Wall of Fire and a Glory Cloud surrounded them. It was the very Presence of the Lord.

Beloved. Though the enemy is attempting an invasion, do not fear. I have you surrounded. There is a Wall of protection around you, My Child. I have given My angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. I Myself dwell in your Tent; My Spirit abides in your Temple. I am your strength and song, and your salvation. Shouts of joy and salvation shall resound in the tents of My Righteous Ones saying, "The Right Hand of the LORD does valiantly!"

This is how you fight your battles, My Love. Victory is Mine. Stand still and see the salvation of your God. No one can stand before Me, Dear One. Does not My Word say that no harm shall come near your dwelling? And so it shall be. There are MANY more for you than against you. There is fear in the enemy's camp tonight. LEGIONS of My Mighty Warrior Angels surround you and protect you and help you and minister to you.

If your God be for you, who shall be able to come against you? My Hand shall always protect you and preserve you, Dear One. It may look like you are surrounded by the enemy, but in reality you are surrounded by the Holy One and His Hosts. You have come into the Holy of Holies by the Blood of the Lamb. Forever, you dwell in the Good Shepherd's Tent. Fear not, Beloved. You have come into the King's Chambers and you are SAFE.

LEGION:Bible: A unit of 3,000–6,000 men. A vast host, multitude, great in number.

...Matthew 26:53 Do you think I cannot call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

...Psalm 118:14 The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. 15 Shouts of joy and salvation resound in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD performs with valor!"

...Psalm 118:6The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? 7The Lord is on my side as my Helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me.

...Psalm 118:11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me;and in the name of Yahweh I destroyed them.

...Exodus 40:34 Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

There’s Nothing You Can’t Bring to God in Prayer by Rick Warren
”Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?” (Romans 8:32 NLT).

There’s a classic TV game show called “Let’s Make a Deal” that features a simple concept: You pick what’s behind door number 1, 2, or 3, and then make a deal with the host.

In the eternal “Let’s Make a Deal,” there are also three doors. Behind door number 1: You have sinned, and that means God, who is perfect, cannot let you into his perfect heaven. You reject his offer to cleanse you of your sins, so you go to hell. Door number 2: You have sinned, and you try to make up for it by doing some good things. But you can never be good enough to match God’s holiness—and you’ll still spend eternity separated from him. Door number 3: You submit to God’s plan and let Jesus cleanse you of your sins. Jesus Christ says, “Here’s the deal: I’ll take all of your guilt and sin, and I’m going to give you all of my goodness. You can spend eternity in heaven with me.”

What a deal!

In fact, it’s the best news in the world. Heaven is a perfect place. You’re not getting there with all your badness. You’re only getting there with all of God’s goodness, but it’s already been paid for and it’s free—it’s a gift God offers you. Why? Because God is a good God. It’s the best deal you’re ever going to get!

Romans 4:25 says that Jesus “died for our sins and rose again to make us right with God, filling us with God’s goodness” (TLB).

So what does that have to do with prayer? It has everything to do with prayer. If you don’t understand this, you’ll never understand prayer.

What God did for you at the cross makes prayer possible.

The Bible says, “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?” (Romans 8:32 NLT).

Do you see the logic of this verse? When Jesus Christ died for you on the cross, he solved your biggest problem. So any other problem you have in your life is small potatoes! If Jesus Christ, because of his goodness, died for you, don’t you think he loves you enough to help you with your bills and your health and your relationships? There is nothing you can’t bring to God in prayer.

If Jesus loved you enough to die for you, he loves you enough to answer your prayer

PLAY today’s audio teaching from Pastor Rick
Talk It Over

What request have you withheld from God because you thought it was too much to ask?
How will you now approach God with your request in light of the cross?
Why would someone reject the free gift God offers of imparting his goodness on us?
Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

The Bible says we all fall short of God’s perfect standard. Yet God still loves us—even though we sin and we’re flawed. In fact, God loves us so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to cleanse us from our sins, and to bring us into the family of God.

If you’ve never accepted God’s love and invited Jesus into your heart, I want you to have that opportunity now. If the words of this prayer express your heart, then let God know that by praying them as a way of saying yes to Jesus?

“Dear God, I don’t understand it all, but I thank you that you love me. I thank you that you are for me and that you didn’t send Jesus to condemn me but to save me.

“I confess that I have sinned against you, and I admit I need Jesus as my Savior. I want a relationship with Jesus. I want to follow him and do the things he tells me to do.

“I ask you to save me from my past, my regrets, my mistakes, my sins, my habits, my hurts, and my hang-ups.

“I ask you to save me for your purpose. I want to know why you put me on this planet. And I want to fulfill what you made me to do. I want to learn to love you and trust you and be in your family forever. In your name I pray, amen.”

If you just prayed that prayer, let me know by emailing me at Rick@PastorRick.com. I want to encourage you in your journey with Jesus and send you some free materials to help you take your first steps.

Anxious for Nothing by Joel Osteen
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
(Philippians 4:6, NASB)

TODAY'S WORD:

So many people today are living uptight, worried and anxious about the future, filled with frustration and concern. In the natural there may be good reason, but understand, that is not God’s best. God doesn’t want us to live in anxiety and frustration; He wants us to live in peace. You can find rest in Him knowing that no matter what is happening around you, God Almighty has His hand on you.

The next time you’re tempted to worry or be anxious about something, remember this verse. God invites us to come to Him. In fact, the Bible says He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. But notice, we can’t just come to Him any old way. He wants us to come to Him with a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. Begin by simply saying, “Father in heaven, thank You for the privilege to come before You. Thank You for hearing my prayers.” As you come to Him with an open and humble heart, He will hear you and fill you with His peace and joy all the days of your life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Heavenly Father, today I choose to be anxious for nothing. I choose to set aside my worries and concerns. I thank You for Your faithfulness to meet every need in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Has Your Get-Up-and-Go Got Up and Gone? by Joyce Meyer
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.

— Romans 12:11

I have times when I get tired of doing what I am doing. We all do. No matter what your position is in life, there will be days when you will not feel like doing it. You might even go through a longer season in which you feel listless and uninterested in almost everything.

There may be underlying reasons that you will need to prayerfully search out, but often we just need to stir ourselves up and get going again. We need to do it purposely instead of waiting for a feeling to show up and motivate us to action again.

Gratitude helps me do that. When I recount all of my blessings, I am amazed at the goodness of God in my life. It makes me thankful, and that always stirs me up and makes life look brighter. Having great expectations also energizes and motivates me.

We don’t have to wait and see if something good happens in our lives; we can aggressively expect something good to happen. David indicated that if he failed to believe he would see the Lord’s goodness, it would affect him in a detrimental way. He said, [What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness... (Psalm 27:13 AMPC).

The third thing that energizes me is getting my mind off how I feel and on something I can do to be a blessing to someone else. When I do, it works every time. Before long, I find myself enthusiastic about life and excited to resume my service to the Lord.

Prayer Starter: Father, I want to live life to the fullest. I want to live with passion, zeal, and appreciation for every opportunity that You give me. Help me approach this day with enthusiasm and do everything as unto You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Purity and Persecution by Dr. Charles Stanley
WEDNESDAY
31
1 Peter 4:1-5

What is the connection between suffering and purity for the Christian? These are not terms we usually consider together, but Peter says those who suffer physically cease from sin and no longer live for human lusts. Instead, they live for the will of God. That is not to say we’ll reach a level of sinless perfection but, rather, the power of sin in our lives will be broken.

According to today’s passage, we are engaged in a battle, and Peter says to arm ourselves with the same attitude Christ had in His suffering. Just as He willingly submitted to the Father’s will and went to the cross, so we must accept that suffering is likewise part of God’s will for our life. It’s one of the ways He purifies us and breaks any attachment to our previous sinful desires.

As believers, we are called to live differently from the world around us. This doesn’t mean we’re to be deliberately antagonistic, but our lifestyle should be an example of purity. Others may find this offensive because it exposes their sin, and then they may respond by maligning us in an attempt to make themselves feel better.

Although we want the world to be attracted to Christ by our transformed lives, in reality we may make others uncomfortable or perhaps even antagonistic. This is why so many Christians around the world are being persecuted and even killed for their faith. But every time the church has faced persecution, it has also been purified and made stronger. God never intends for suffering to defeat us. Rather, His purpose is for it to make us holy and effective witnesses for Christ.

The Year of Great Harvest by John Hagee
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.

This is the year of your breakthrough! This is the year of great harvest in your life. Start declaring the good things of the Lord in your life today and watch as things begin to fall in line as the Holy Spirit moves.

This is the year that God answers the prayer you’ve been praying for years! This is the year that you and God are going to climb to the top of the mountain together, and the possibility you never thought would happen in your life becomes a reality.

Every miracle has two parts: your part and God’s part. Take the initiative today and start walking in faith toward the answer you are seeking. The Bible says to ask and then you will receive. Call upon the Lord and He will answer. Start asking, and get ready for the floodgates to be opened to you in Jesus’ name!

Get Revelation by Jerry Savelle
October 31, 2018
Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:15-16 NKJV)

The apostle Paul knew firsthand the importance of revelation knowledge from the Lord, which is why is why he placed such importance on it in his letter to the church at Ephesus. When God reveals to you a truth from His Word, that revelation always causes you to become positive.

Revelation knowledge of the Word of God determines how you react to the situations you are currently facing. For instance, do you really believe that …

You are special to God?
You are God’s most prized possession?
You are washed by the blood of Jesus from every sin, weakness, and failure?
You are holy, blameless, and above reproach in His sight?
You are crowned with glory and honor?
You have authority over every circumstance in your life?
God wants to turn every adversity into a victory?
God wants to turn every stumbling block into a steppingstone?
God wants to give you good things?
If you don’t have a revelation of a particular Bible truth, then you can’t walk in it. Mental assent to truth is not enough. Without revelation knowledge, you will always live way below your privileges in Christ.

Revelation knowledge comes through reading and meditating on the Word of God, and then choosing to believe that what God says is true. Once you have revelation of how special you are to God, you will be able to walk in every good thing He has for you.

Confession: As I read and meditate on the promises of God found in His Word, the spirit of wisdom and revelation will open my eyes to receive all of the good things God has in store for me.

How Tender Is God's Heart Toward You by Joseph Prince
Ephesians 2:7

that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Have you ever blown things out of proportion and gotten angry with God when you were going through a trying time? This happened to Jesus’ disciples when a storm hit them hard. In their fear of drowning, they cried out to Jesus, who was getting some much-needed sleep in the boat, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” (Mark 4:38).

For accusing Him of not caring, you would think that they received a rebuke from Jesus. But it was the wind which received His rebuke, and a great calm followed (see Mark 4:39). Because of His tenderness toward His own, Jesus did not waste time taking offence. Instead, He wasted no time taking care of the problem that had caused His disciples so much anxiety and fear.

This also happened to two sisters, Martha and Mary, who did not hesitate to let Jesus know how they felt when He finally showed up days after their brother Lazarus had died. Both sisters made the same remark to Him: “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died” (John 11:21,32).

Both sisters had seen Jesus’ miracles of mercy and love. Now, in their grief, they focused on how He could have prevented their brother’s death, but did not. They did not know His heart—how tender it was toward them and how His help would never fail them, but would even extend to raising their dead brother (see John 11:41–44).

Beloved, your heavenly Father sees you trying to stay afloat when you are in the midst of a storm. He sees you trying to provide for yourself and your family, and thinking, “If I don’t take care of these things, no one else will!” And He wants you to know how tender His heart is toward you, how He is not offended by all the bad things you have ever said of or to Him. He wants you to know how much He wants to and will help and bless you. So let go and experience afresh the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward you!

Open Heavens: Relationship With Christ By Pastor E. A. Adeboye
of him that sent me, that everyone which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40

Read: John 1:10-13(KJV)
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Bible in one year:
Jeremiah 32,
Luke 13:18-14:6,

Hymnal:
Sing Hymn 15

Message:
It is very important for every born-again child of God to have a relationship with Him. The importance at a relationship with Jesus Christ can never be overemphasized.

Having a relationship with Him goes beyond accepting Him as Lord and Saviour; it means interacting with Him on a daily basis and involving Him in the running of your everyday life. It is expected of every child to have a cordial relationship with his or her father. This should also be the case with our Lord Jesus Christ, because He is referred to as the Everlasting Father in Isaiah 9:6. If Christ is the Everlasting Father, we must therefore have a beautiful relationship with Him. The Lord Jesus Christ is the best Father anybody can have, because He is loving, kind, tender, merciful and gracious. He is even more caring than any earthly father can ever be. He constantly seeks to have a close relationship with His children, but sadly, many of us are too busy to cultivate a loving relationship with Him. It is unfortunate that the relationship which most children of God have with their Father is a ‘take, take, take’ relationship instead of a ‘give and take’ relationship. Any Christian wh0 has a revelation of the evil that God delivered us from through salvation will take his or her relationship with Jesus Christ more seriously. When I became born again and realized how close to hell I was before God saved me, I was ready to do anything for this God. I was grateful that He saved a sinner like me, so much so that all I cared about was pleasing Him.

Another reason why it is important to have a relationship with Christ is that our fate will be committed into His hands by God on the day of judgement. 2nd Corinthians 5:10 says:

”For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

If we don’t have a relationship with Christ now, how will we be able to face Him on the day of judgement? Christ is still full of love and mercy now, and He is still knocking at the door of our hearts and gently asking to be let in.

He is right now seated at the Father’s right hand, advocating for us. However, a time is coming when He will be seat on His Judgement seat to judge everyone who refused to accept His offer of mercy when it was available. At that time, His eyes will be full of fire and His entire countenance will be fiery (Daniel 7:9-10, Revelation 20:11-12). There will be no begging or excuses then-it will be judgement without mercy. My advice is that you cultivate a relationship with Him from today.

Prayer point: Lord Jesus Christ, Help to cultivate a beautiful relationship with You from today.
