I Am Too Dangerous
"Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Mat 16:18

I used to erroneously imagine the conflict between the church and Satan as a game where the devil looks more dangerous and very offensive while the church is always on the defensive.

But not too long, I realized that that's not what the verse is all about. It's far from it.

Now look at this;   ”gate" are meant for defense against something or someone.
"Gate of hell" also would mean "the defense of hell". The devil is the one in defense not the church!

The church God built and left behind is a victorious church that is laying siege to hell and empowered to break down it's gates to release it's prisoners.

The promise of Christ is to have a church so courageous and powerful; the church that would always seek to attack and destroy any manifestations of hell wherever it finds them and this promise was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost.

"Cannot prevail" means that, at the Church’s  appearance to destroy any seen manifestations of the devil, the host of darkness cannot stop her, the gate of hell is too weak to stop her.

I am too full of power and dangerous as a believer to put myself in the defensive position against the devil.
The devil does not pursue me, I pursue the devil. I am to continue the work of Christ, for the scriptures says "he went about( he didn't sit in a place, he was here today there tomorrow laying siege for the devil) doing good, healing all that were oppressed by the devil (the devil's prisoners)"

That is why anywhere I go, I destroy any gate setup there. They can't prevail against me.

When I see  Satan’s manifestation in a life either by demonic oppression or whatever means, immediately I send the devil packing.

Now the imagination is this, the church is the lion in the jungle walking around and also laying siege on any animal that is not of her specie (Satan and his demons) to devour them.
That's why you see that in the jungle, other animals walk with boldness as if they own the jungle(1Pet5:8) but immediately they perceive, hear or sight a lion they go into hiding for their lives. This exactly is how the game between the church and Satan plays out.

James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"
"To flee" means to run away from a place/someone or situation of danger.

Friends, let this mind be in you that you are too dangerous for the devil.

Glory to God
