A Potter by Tammy Lang Jensen

Every time a potter handles a lump of clay, do his fingerprints not become part of the clay? And every time the father touches you, are his fingerprints not evident on you?

Every time a potter handles a lump of clay, do his fingerprints not become part of the clay? And every time the father touches you, are his fingerprints not evident on you?

Every time you come into the presence of the Lord, you are a little more like Him. You even begin to smell of frankincense and myrrh, the sweet aroma of the Father.

Every step you take leaves a spot of glory and the oil. For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron‘s beard, that ran down his beard and onto the border of His robe (Psalm 133:2). The oil is flowing from heaven right now. Are your arms lifted high to receive, only an empty vessel can be filled. Oh what a beautiful season of exchange between you and the Father. “He must become greater; I must become less” (John 3:30). More of Christ and less of me, as you form me into perfection. For it is written:

Be holy, because I am holy (1 Peter 1:16). My people are bound together by faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love, to become more like me you must love greatly. You must love in the face of fear, hurt and betrayal. You must be willing to lay your own life down for the life of a brother. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (John 15:13). When you come to meet me in the clouds, I won’t ask about your job. I will simply ask,”Did you love well?” Did people know you were mine by the way you acted.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and love mercy and walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8). But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity (Psalm 37:11). I have such riches, joy and pleasures forevermore for my people. But the condition of your heart and the level of your faith will determine the outcome. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

Once the Lord completes his delicate heart surgery on you, you will never be the same. Place your heart in the hand of Christ, and love with complete abandon. Love like you have never been hurt, love like Christ walks with you. For you are more precious to Him than many sparrows. You are the apple of his eye, His love for you knows no bounds.

His eyes rest on you today, with a smile that lights up heaven. You have brought joy to the Master as you have loved your brother....
