My Goodness in The Land of the Living by Deborah Waldron Fry
Beloved. Suddenly, even in your darkness, My Light shall dawn. Out of the blue, My Glory shall appear. Do not faint, Dear One. You shall see My Goodness in the land of the living. I delight in you because you have honored and loved My Name. Do not be afraid of evil tidings. Fix your heart to trust in your Savior. I am in your midst. I have confounded the enemy. His desire to destroy you shall come to naught.

Surely, the wicked one shall see My Hand upon you and your descendants. The mountains he has built up before you shall melt away and your desert shall flow with streams of Living Water. His evil plans for you shall be as chaff blown away by the Wind of My Spirit. It will happen instantly, suddenly. I have declared GOOD things for you long ago, My Child. Even before you were born, I proclaimed them. My plans for you went forth from My Mouth and they shall be accomplished. It is finished.

When you least expect it, your mourning shall be exchanged for gladness and your tears into shouts of joy. It will be suddenly and unexpectedly, that way you will have no time to doubt it. :) Yes, Beloved. The world shall look upon you and be astonished at My Goodness, for I am doing a work in this day, that even if it were announced ahead of time, you would not believe it. Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit shall it come to pass. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts shall perform this.

"OUT OF THE BLUE": something unexpected, a surprise
SUDDENLY: from Greek word, "aphno" which means unaware, unexpectedly.

ZEAL: passion, fervor, ardor, enthusiasm
..Habakkuk 1:5 Behold you among the nations, and regard, and wonder and be astonished: for I will work a work in your days, which you will not believe, though it be told you.
..Isaiah 29:5 But the multitude of your enemies will become like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like the chaff which blows away; And it will happen instantly, suddenly.
..Isaiah 48:3 I declared the former things long ago and they went forth from My mouth, and I proclaimed them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.

..Acts 2:1-2 1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.2And SUDDENLY there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

..Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

..Isaiah 44:3For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants.

Open Heavens: Joy Cometh in the Morning by Pastor E.A Adeboye
Memorise:
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5

Read: Psalms 30:1-5, (KJV)
1 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Bible in one year:
Jeremiah 16-18,
Psalms 48

Message:
Joy is a positive human condition that wells up from deep inside the soul and usually reflects in human action. The Bible uses joy both as a feeling and an action. Joy as a feeling is called forth by well-being, success, or good fortune. A person automatically experiences joy as a result of certain favourable circumstances. This kind of joy cannot be commanded, something must happen to activate the feeling of Joy. For example in Matthew 18:13, the shepherd had a feeling of joy. when he found his lost sheep. In Luke 13:17, the multitude was joyful when Jesus healed a Jewish woman whom Satan had bound for 18 years. Also in Luke 24:52, the disciples returned to Jerusalem rejoicing after Jesus’ ascension to Heaven. Furthermore, Paul mentioned his joy in hearing about the obedience of the Roman Christians in Romans 16:19. All these confirm joy as a feeling. 3 September 2016 open heavens

On the other hand, joy as an action is the kind of joy that the Scripture commands. The kind of joy can be engaged in, regardless of how a person feels; the Bible calls it the joy of the Lord. In Psalms 137:1-4, the Jews on exile were unable to entertain their captors with music because of their obvious sadness; their feeling was contrary to joy. You could experience the joy of the Lord regardless of your personal feelings and in whatever circumstance you may find yourself. Jesus instructed His disciples to rejoice when they were persecuted, reviled, and slandered according to Matthew 5:11-12. James 1:2 tells Christians to count it all joy when they fall into various trials because such trials produce endurance. Therefore, this makes joy in adverse circumstances possible only as a gift of God for God’s children. In this regard, Psalms 30:5 says: Open Heavens 3 September 2016:- Joy Cometh in the Morning

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

The coming of joy in the morning is such a powerful concept considering what night and morning stand for. Night symbolizes a period of darkness, evil, insecurity, and uncertainty. Morning signifies a new beginning and renewed hope. The morning light uncovers events of the night and provides opportunity and for renewed daily activity. Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us that God’s love, mercies, favour and compassion are made available for the benefit of Christians daily. I therefore decree; despite what you may be passing through, your hour of darkness will soon pass away, and joy will become your permanent companion in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point
Father, please let there be a new dawn of joy, peace and prosperity in my life in Jesus’ name.

God's Country by Kenneth Copeland
The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Luke 18:27

Right now you and I are standing face to face with situations in our nation that need to be changed. Some of those situations look totally impossible. But they’re not. Because this country belongs to God.

He’s the One who brought the United States of America into existence. He had a special purpose for it. He needed a country where the gospel could be preached freely and not suppressed.

It was God Himself who stirred the heart and mind of Christopher Columbus and planted within him the dream of charting a new course to the West. Columbus said so in his own journals: “It was the Lord who put into my mind (I could feel His hand upon me) the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies. All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me. There’s no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit because He comforted me with rays of marvelous inspiration from the Holy Scriptures….”

Who brought Christopher Columbus to America? God brought him. This is God’s nation. He raised it up, and it’s not going to be taken away from Him.

The next time you’re tempted to look at situations in this country as impossible, remember who it belongs to. Then you can discover America just like Christopher Columbus did—by faith.

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 106

The Forgiven Should Forgive by Rick Warren
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others” (Colossians 3:13 NLT, second edition).

Do you show people grace? It’s what God wants us to do, but it’s not always easy to remember to do because we are so often focused on ourselves.

It’s easier sometimes to be selfish instead of gracious. You see the slow checker in the grocery store line as a five-minute interruption to your day rather than somebody who might be struggling to keep his job, or who just got the worst news of his life five minutes before.

You see the one in your family who’s struggling right now as a drain on you rather than seeing her hopelessness over a desperate situation. You see the person who cut you off on the freeway as the physical embodiment of Satan instead of just a jerk who is in need of God’s love.

The thing is, we are all jerks in need of God’s love. That’s why Jesus Christ came into this world. And to show people grace is to remember what God has done for us. The ultimate way God shows us grace is by forgiveness. And the ultimate way he asks us to show grace to other people is by forgiving them.

Colossians 3:13 says, “Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others” (NLT, second edition).

People often ask me, “How can I find the strength to forgive? I don’t have it in me.” I don’t have it in me, either! The only place I’ve ever found the strength to forgive is to remember how much Jesus has forgiven me. When I remember that, then he gives me the strength and grace to forgive others.

Clara Barton, who founded the Red Cross, was reminded by a friend of an especially cruel thing that somebody had done to her years before. Barton acted like she didn’t remember it, and the friend asked, “Don’t you remember?” Her famous reply was, “No, I distinctly remember forgetting it.”

What do you need to forget? If you don’t forgive, you’re not going to enjoy God’s vision for the rest of your life, because forgiveness will keep you stuck in the past. You need to forgive for your sake, and then you need to get on with your life. Forgiveness is not saying that what somebody did was right or that there shouldn’t be consequences for what happened. It just means that you let go of your anger and hurt and give it to God so that you can move on with God’s purpose for your life.

When that seems impossible, when you feel like you can’t be gracious toward someone, just remember one thing: Jesus forgave you. Remembering the grace God has shown you will give you the strength to be gracious to and forgive others.

Talk It Over

How does forgiving someone affect the other person? How does it affect you?
What is something you need to let go of so that you can forgive and show grace to someone with God’s help?
How do resentment and bitterness keep you from fulfilling your purpose?

Reconciling God’s Love and Justice by Dr. Charles Stanley
Psalm 33:4-5

Some people reject the message of salvation because they are offended by the Bible’s description of God’s wrath. Even believers can struggle to reconcile the Lord’s love and justice. How can He at the same time be perfectly loving and perfectly just? In an attempt to come to terms with this dilemma, we often try to soften the message of judgment and instead emphasize His warmer, fatherly qualities. But love and justice are not contradictory terms. In fact, you can’t have one without the other.

God’s love brings good into our lives. But if there is no justice, sin runs rampant and causes untold pain and suffering. No one thinks a judge is loving when he or she refuses to punish guilty criminals. To set them loose in society is not healthy for either the wrongdoer or the community. In the same way, our loving heavenly Father cannot allow sin to go unpunished.

But this presents an even bigger dilemma for mankind. We are all guilty before a holy God. That is why Christ came to earth. He bore divine wrath for all our sins so that the Father could be both just and forgiving. His justice was satisfied by the most loving act of all time—Christ’s death on the cross. Now those who by faith accept Jesus’ offer of salvation will not experience eternal punishment for sin.

Although believers will all one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ, there will be no reason to fear. Our judgment has the purpose of determining rewards, not dishing out punishment. In gratitude, we should prepare now for that time by living for the Lord every day.

Bible in One Year: Ezekiel 20-22

Listen to the Spirit by Pastor Mark Jensen
Your life is determined by the choices you choose, the decisions you make, the path that you walk.

When you allow your life to be dictated by your will and not God's will, the path you walk will not be the same as the one that has been planned.

Listen to the Spirit within you so that your life is as God has written it.

Daily Benefits by Joel Osteen
"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits..."
Psalm 68:19, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:
This morning when you woke up, what was the first thing that went through your mind? Maybe you have a deadline to meet or a big appointment at work. Maybe you are facing a challenge or going through a difficulty in a relationship that seems to consume your thoughts. Today, I want to encourage you; instead of focusing on what your circumstances have to offer, focus on what God has to offer you. His mercies are new every morning, and His compassion never fails. He has victory in store for you today; He has provision in store for you today; He has joy in store for you today, and He has peace in store for you today. He daily loads you with blessing!

The key to accessing these daily benefits is setting your focus in the right direction. You can’t wait to see how you feel, what kind of mood your spouse is in, what the traffic is like or what the stock market is doing. No, you have to choose to set your focus by saying, “This is going to be a great day. I am blessed and cannot be cursed! I know God is directing my steps; something good is going to happen to me today!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
"Heavenly Father, today I choose to focus on You. I open my heart and mind to receive Your daily benefits. Show me ways to be a blessing to others and a good example of Your love in Jesus’ name. Amen."

Every Curse Has A Cause Part Four by John Hagee
Proverbs 26:2— Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.

Every Curse Has A Cause
Part Four—

AntiSemitism brings the curse of God!
Many of the medical discoveries that have saved millions of lives are the product of the brilliance of Jewish minds.  They have given us scientists and statesmen and master merchants and scholars and musicians.  Few Americans know the role the Jewish people played in the American Revolution.

The Continental army was naked and hungry and shivering in the snows of Valley Forge.  They were discouraged and desperate for arms and ammunition.  Hiam Solomon, a Jewish Philadelphia banker, arranged a loan of several million dollars, without interest.  The additional funds turned the tide in the war for independence.  George Washington, the father our country, was so appreciative of what Hiam Solomon did that he placed a tribute to the Jewish people on the back of the dollar bill that you carry in your pocket to this day.  Over the head of the eagle is the cloudburst of the Shekinah glory of God, and inside that is the sixpointed Star of David.  Turning the eagle upside down, you see the menorah.  The design of the dollar bill is a tribute to the Jewish people and their contribution to freedom in America.

Church, it is time for Christians to stop praising the dead Jews of the past, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, while hating the Jews across the street.  They are the seed of Braham.  God loves them and they are the apple of his eye and they are the family of God.  Whatever you do to the Jewish people, God will do to you.  If you bless them, God will bless you.  And if you curse them, the judgment of God will come upon you.

Seize Opportunity Quickly by Jerry Savelle
And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion] (Matthew 11:12 AMP).

Has God put a strong desire in your heart for something specific, yet it seems too big to grab hold of? My advice to you is this: seize your God-given opportunity!

Webster’s dictionary defines seize as “to take possession of suddenly and by force, or attack, or a strike.” Why is it important to take possession of something suddenly? Because opportunities don’t wait for the faint hearted, the slow-to-move, or the coward.

When an opportunity arises that seems just a little out of your grasp, go to God in prayer. If you have peace about it, then go for it—God will help you. Jesus described just such a kingdom opportunity like this: “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field” (Matthew 13:44 NKJV).

When God presents you with an opportunity, be aggressive. Be enthusiastic and committed. Continue to seek God for His wisdom and favor in how to proceed. And as you continue to make your confession of faith God will meet you with His grace and favor.

Confession: I give thanks for the God-given dreams and desires He has placed in my heart. As each new opportunity presents itself, I will go to God in prayer to receive His peace and provision, and then I will seize each opportunity quickly, and for the glory of God.

God Wants His Children Well And Joyful by Joseph Prince
John 14:9
Jesus said to him, “…He who has seen Me has seen the Father…

Imagine the following scenario: A father tells his little girl, “Come here, girl. Mummy says that you have been playing by the roadside. Is that true?” “Yes, Daddy. I am sorry.” “Sorry? How many times have I told you not to play near the road? Come here! Lie down on the road and stretch out your legs!”

Daddy drives his car over his little girl’s legs. You can hear the sound of bones being crushed and the poor girl screaming in pain!

“Now, darling, you know that Daddy loves you. And Daddy did that to teach you a lesson, that playing by the roadside is dangerous.”

You are probably shaking your head in horror by now, wondering which sick father would do that. Yet, there are many Christians who believe that our heavenly Father does the same thing. They say that He gives people sicknesses, accidents, earthquakes and death to teach them lessons.

But Jesus said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” Jesus is the nature of God in action. Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus or God going about healing the sick. If God wants some people sick, then there should be at least one incident in the Gospels where you see Jesus saying, “Behold, your complexion is too lovely, receive leprosy,” or “Blindness is good for you. Remain blind.” But no, never once! In fact, Jesus “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil”. (Acts 10:38) That’s the heart of God.

As a father, if your child is sick and in pain, your heart just wants him well. How much more your heavenly Father! My friend, God does not give your child a sickness to teach both of you some lesson or to glorify Himself. To think so is to talk out of a warped mind bound by religion! And Christianity is not a religion. It is a loving relationship with your Father in heaven.

Beloved, hear God speaking this to your heart today: “I will never punish you for your sins because they have been punished in My Son’s body. I do not wish you ill. I will not take away your child or give you a car wreck to teach you some lesson. My heart always wants My children well and joyful!”

Thought For The Day
If God wants some people sick, then there should be at least one incident in the Gospels where Jesus gave sickness to or refused to heal someone.

No More Insecurity by Joyce Meyer
And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God’s Word and the right of their necessity].
- Psalm 9:10

Every one of us has experienced a measure of insecurity. At one time or another, we all want to step out and do something, but at the thought of it, insecurity freezes us in our tracks. But this is not the plan of God for our lives. He wants us to step out in faith and confidence.

Insecurity tries to torment us into being so doubtful and miserable we will be prevented from doing what God wants us to do and receiving all God has for us.

We can live without insecurity by building our faith on what God has said in His Word. When we open our mouth and confess what the Lord says to us and about us, God’s Word will give us the power to overcome fear, insecurity, and uncertainty.

If you find yourself trying to avoid confronting some issue in your life because of dread or insecurity, I encourage you to pray and ask God to do for you what He has promised in His Word—to go before you and pave the way.

Ask God to strengthen you in the inner man, that His might and power may fill you, and that you may not be overcome with the temptations to give in to fear.

Think Differently by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward (Hebrews 10:35).

It’s the ninth month of the year 2016—our "Year of Spreading." Perhaps, you might have been troubled and saying in your heart, "Lord, I still have goals and things I want to do. I want to receive more money for this, and for that; now the year is almost coming to an end." Don’t think that way with God. Stay in eternity. Live in eternity. Think differently. Don’t "push" God like natural men do. Live with Him in His realm of life. Don’t get under the pressure.

When you get under pressure because of what you want to accomplish within a certain time, you become a slave to time. Don’t let that happen to you. Time should be a slave to you. Psalm 37:4-5 says, "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Nothing is too difficult for, or impossible with, the Lord; He’s the great God. He said in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" His greatness is beyond description. His power is limitless. Trust Him, and trust His ability. He can do for you in a second, what naturally should have taken you ten years to achieve. Within the last part of this year, you can receive anything that you desire of Him. Jesus said in John 16:24, "…ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."

He wants your joy to be full; therefore, keep your faith active; ask and receive. Stand firm; stay strong. Believe and keep affirming the Word even in the face of staggering oppositions. Never give up, for faith always wins.

Confession

I refuse to be under the pressure, for the Lord is my salvation, and upon Him, I’ve cast all my cares, living the transcendent life, and enjoying peace with prosperity. My path is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. The Lord my God is my sufficiency, my refuge, my glory and my strength; He’s my all. Hallelujah!
