If traditional religion has taught you that God wants you poor and oppressed, I have good news for you today. The Bible says, "God takes pleasure" in your prosperity. God wants you to prosper!

Not just in the financial realm but in every area of your life...spirit, soul and body.

No matter where you are or who you are, God wants to see you delivered from every adverse situation.

Why? Because He loves you and He has a job for you to do. He wants you to help meet the needs of mankind and He's smart enough to know that you can't give away what you don't have. You can't give to spread the gospel or buy food for the hungry when you're broke. You can't go out laying hands on the sick when you're lying in a hospital bed. You can't minister joy to others when you're being held captive by depression. No! You have to be blessed to be a blessing.

If you really want to tap into the riches of God today, make up your mind to be a blessing to others, and before you know it, you'll be receiving more from God than you ever dreamed.

That's what happened to me. I decided years ago, first and foremost, to be a giver. I developed a lifestyle of giving. Today, I literally "live to give." And I don't mind telling you, God dumps blessings on me by the truckload!

He'll do the same for you if you'll become His servant—if you'll lay down your time and your money and your love for those who need it. Become a giver—and God will take pleasure in prospering you!

Good morning friends and family of God Honor Strength, welcome to the beginning of a new year, a new season; Welcome to 2017. I hope each of you had an amazing and blessed Christmas and New Years Holiday with your family and friends, with those that you love, including our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we begin this new chapter in our lives, let us remember to be thankful for all that God has done for us and all that he has provided for us this past year, and as this new year begins, this new season begins, let us thank him in advance for all that he will do for us and provide for us. It is never too late to stop everything you are doing and to praise God for who we are and whose we are, children of the most high God. Let us not be so focused on the big blessings that we are waiting for that we miss the little blessings we receive each and every day. Remember, everything has a season, and this is the beginning of a new season for you.

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

It is hard to believe that under God's direction, I began this ministry two years ago. I have spent each of my mornings in meditation, drinking my coffee, talking with God, preparing what I would write, what scripture I would quote, what sermon I would write. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to spread His word and to have each of you allow me to do so and allow me to be part of your lives.

I thought it would be interesting to look back at the very first sermon I wrote two years ago and share it with you. Some of you may remember it, some will be seeing it for the first time. It reminds me of the excitement and nervousness I felt when I posted it, my very first sermon. Enjoy this trip down memory lane and as always God Bless each and everyone of you for who you are.

Good morning friends and family. The new year has begun and as I stated earlier, it is a time for new beginnings and if you haven't already done so, realize all that God has planned for you.

We all want to be happy, to be fulfilled, to be the best of who we are, of who we were meant to be. There are things we all encounter, sometimes on a daily basis that prevent us from making that happen. Days that it just doesn't seem possible that it will happen.

I am here today to spread the word that not only is it possible, but it is God's plan for you. We each carry the DNA of the most high God within us. We each were created in the eyes of our Father in Heaven and you can be sure, His plan for you, far exceeds what we can perceive.

If you would have told me ten years ago, or even a year ago, that I would be ministering, spreading His word, sharing the gospel, I would have not believed it, yet here I am. God had a plan for me and when He knew I was ready, He revealed it to me and He will reveal it to you as well. You may be asking yourself, "When will that be or what is taking so long?" That is the time to look into your self, open your heart to our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ and have faith in our Father in Heaven. Do not grow weary or discouraged, for God's plan for you will be revealed. Continue to live your life following His word, knowing You are loved and provided for by the most high God.

As I speak a blessing over each of you this morning, always remember, I am here for you if you ever need to talk or get something off your chest or if you need prayer for yourselves, your family or your friends. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Dear Father God, thank you for blessing us with this day and loving us as Your children. Watch over each and every one of us as we start each day, as we go through this week, as we prepare to enter a new season in our lives, keeping us in the palm of Your hand. Guide us in our daily lives, directing us on the path You have planned for us, bringing forth the dreams you have planted in each of our hearts. For we know who we are and whose we are, children of the most high God. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Beloved. The LORD your God is in your midst, the Mighty One who saves. This is a New Year for you and a new season. Shake off the old disappointments and failings. Leave them behind you, Dear One. Forget the past. Reject and cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of your God.

Bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Renew your mind, My Child. Wash away the lies of the devil with My Life Giving Water flowing from My Throne of Grace. Greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world. In your body, you carry the death of your Savior, so that MY LIFE may also be revealed in your body. My Spirit is quickening your mortal body every day. You may feel pressed on all sides, but you will not be crushed. You may feel perplexed, but do not despair. Though persecuted, you will never be forsaken. The devil may try to strike you down, but you will not be destroyed.

I am your Creator, your Healer, your Life Giver, your Abba Father. I am in your midst. I am singing over you a new song. A song of new beginnings. A song of JOY and not sorrow, a song of LIFE and not death. Join in with the angels, Beloved. Sing to Me a new song. For you I shall do wondrous things. TODAY'S WORD:
When you wake up in the morning, do you expect the goodness of God in your life? Do you set the tone of the day for success, favor and blessing with your words? Scripture tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. That’s why it’s so important to declare praises to God all throughout the day. Things may be bad all around you, people may be negative, complaining and discouraged, but don’t let that spirit rub off on you. The worse it gets, the brighter you’re going to shine. The good news is that no matter how you feel, no matter what’s going on around you, you can choose your words. There’s nothing that can stop you from constantly speaking His Word!

Today, be determined to set the tone for your day, week, month and year by continually praising God and speaking words of faith over your future. Remember, when you put God first, He promises to honor you. He will pour out His favor on you and lead you into life, health, strength and blessing all the days of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
"Father, I choose to bless You at all times. I choose to set the tone to receive Your favor, grace and mercy. Thank You for Your faithfulness at all times in Jesus’ name. Amen!"

The Church Of Jesus Christ Has Stopped Preaching The Word Of God And Started Marching With Pagans So They Can Be Approved By The World, Flesh And The Devil!

Cornerstone will never do that—not now, not ever.  Most modern churches live so far beneath the New Testament standard you’d have to backslide to be in fellowship with them.  We’re cursed with a casual Christianity that bows to idols.  We go along to get along.  We want comfort but not challenge.  We want the crown but not the cross.  We want the approval of the world, even if we receive the disapproval of God.

Christianity is not a call to cowardly retreat.  We are not a bunch of Bible carrying wimps singing Hold the Fort.  We are the conquering army of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The church is not a retirement center for the army of the Living God.  We’re not here to go along to get along.  We’re here for victory over the world, the flesh and the devil. Paul said to fight the good fight of faith, to endure hardness as a good soldier.  There are lions to slay.  There are mountains to climb.  There are victories to gain.  The Bible says that the man who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not worthy of the kingdom.

Ephesians says “to stand.”  Stand in the evil day.  Stand up for Jesus.   Stand up for the word of God.  Stand up for the God of our fathers.  Stand up for America.  It is one nation under God, and that God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!

Suppose we receive a package from an overnight carrier. After we open it, we stare at a beautiful, oversized envelope, with our name written on it in exquisite calligraphy. Inside, the invitation starts with these words:

You are invited to enjoy a life filled with misery, worry, and confusion.

Which one of us would say yes to such an outrageous invitation? Don't we seek the kind of life that keeps us free from such pain and distractions? Yet many of us choose such a life. Not that we blatantly make that choice, but we sometimes surrender—even temporarily—to Satan's invitation. His attack is ongoing and relentless—the devil is persistent! Our enemy bombards our minds with every weapon at his disposal every day of our lives.

We are engaged in a warfare—a warfare that rages and never stops. We can put on the whole armor of God, halt the evil one's advances, and stand fast on the Word of God, but we won't put a complete end to the war. As long as we are alive, our minds remain Satan's battlefield. Most of our problems are rooted in thinking patterns that produce the problems we experience. This is where Satan triumphs—he offers wrong thinking to all of us. This isn't a new trick devised for our generation; he began his deceptive ways in the Garden of Eden. The serpent asked the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every tree of the garden? (Genesis 3:1a). That was the first attack on the human mind. Eve could have rebuked the tempter; instead, she told him God would let them eat from the trees, but not from one particular tree. They couldn't even touch that tree, because if they did, they would die.

But the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing the difference 'between good and evil and blessing and calamity(vs. 4-5).

This was the first attack, and it resulted in Satan's first victory. What we often miss about temptation and the battle our enemy levels against us is that it comes to us deceptively. Suppose he had said to the woman, "Eat of the fruit. You'll bring misery, anger, hatred, bloodshed, poverty, and justice into the world."

Eve would have recoiled and run away. He tricked her because he lied and told her what would appeal to her.

Satan promised, "You will be like God. You'll know good and evil." What a marvelous appeal to the woman. He wasn't tempting Eve to do something bad—or at least he phrased it in such a way that what she heard sounded good.

That's always the appeal of sin or satanic enticement. The temptation is not to do evil or to cause harm or bring injustice. The lure is that we will gain something.

Satan's temptation worked on Eve. And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate (3:6).

Eve lost the first battle for the mind, and we have continued to fight for it since that time. But because we have the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we can win—and we can keep on winning.

Victorious God, help me resist the onslaughts of Satan, who attacks my mind and makes evil seem good. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

2 Samuel 7:18-22

In the 70s, I experienced a turning point in my walk with Christ. It started with 2 Samuel 7, which inspired me to follow in King David’s footsteps. He spent time alone with God, offering praise and thanksgiving. He also listened as the Lord revealed truth and offered insight about the future. Because of what he learned, David was able to set goals and stay aligned with them.

Desiring that kind of solitude, I spent several days alone in a camper at Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park. Most of the time I remained silent, listening intently for God’s voice. I asked Him to speak to me regarding my future, and He answered. Using a journal, I recorded the goals He inspired. The things He communicated so impacted my choices and so greatly blessed me that I continued the discipline every couple of months.

Let’s discuss how to establish aims in this manner. First, come before the throne of almighty God with a repentant heart, praise, and thanksgiving. Then, ask Him for direction in areas such as spiritual life, career, and family. In silence, wait patiently and attentively—as you read and meditate upon God’s Word, He will speak. Most often, His guidance is experienced as a prodding or conviction in the heart. When that happens, be sure to write down what you’re learning so you can review it later.

In order to stay on the path God intends for our life, we should plan times to stop, ask, and listen for guidance. The world throws confusing messages at us all day long, and we need to check our course frequently. These conversations with the Lord are vital for a thriving life of godly impact.

Bible in One Year: Genesis 4-7

Luke 12:6–7
“Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Many Christians make the mistake of thinking that God is too busy taking care of the “big things” to be interested in the little problems they are facing. Are you one of them? It may be your child’s bed-wetting habit, a quarrel with a friend or the small pimple on your face. No matter how trivial it sounds, if it troubles you, then God wants to take care of it!

God wants to take care of every area of your life, even the smallest detail. He loves you so much that He knows the number of hairs you have on your head. And if your loving heavenly Father knows and is interested in the small details of your life, then you don’t have to overcome any problem on your own.

When my daughter Jessica turned three, my wife Wendy and I decided to bring her to Disneyland. Knowing that it was her first encounter with Disneyland and that she could be frightened by unexpected shocks, I decided to watch one of the theater productions which I had planned to bring her to, before I took her to watch it.

As I sat through the production, my mind was on Jessica all the time. I was thinking, “Is this too frightening for her? Will she like the mechanical singing bear? Is the place too dark for her?” I decided to bring her to the show only after I had seen it myself and was sure that she would enjoy it.

My friend, your heavenly Father cares for you in the same way as He lays out His plans for you. You are on His heart all the time as He carefully considers and makes plans for every aspect of your life, both big and small. And the very thought of you puts a smile on His face because He knows that the plans He has for you are plans to bless you. (Jeremiah 29:11)

So no matter what problems you are facing right now, you can rest in His love for you. There is no problem that is too insignificant for Him to handle. He is not just God Almighty, He is also your heavenly Father who loves you!

Thought For The Day
God wants to take care of every area of your life, even the smallest detail.

Today I want to encourage you to start giving where you are. Don’t wait until you have millions and all the conditions are perfect in your life before you start giving. If you don’t start where you are, then you will never experience God’s best for your life.

There are never “perfect” conditions, but you must start anyway. Jesus said when you are faithful with little, then He will trust you with more (Matthew 25:21). You cannot begin to prosper if you are not willing to start giving where you are right now.

Do you know what God said to Moses when he was about to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?

He said, “What is that in your hand?”

Moses, “A stick.”

God, “I can use that stick.”

All Moses had was a stick, a rod. Yet God said that He could use it.

And God can use anything that you give to Him, you just have to start. If you don’t have anything but $1.00, give that $1.00 and give it with the right attitude. Give it with a thankful heart. If you don’t have a $1.00, then give 25 cents. If you don’t have that, then go volunteer to rake leaves or clean toilets at your church. Give God something to work with and He will honor it.

The important thing is to start now. Show God that you will be faithful. Sow what you can. And God promises in 2 Corinthians 9:10 that He will increase your resources for sowing.

I read this a long time ago and wanted to share it with you, “It is possible to give to someone without truly loving them. But it is impossible to love someone and not give to them.” If you say that you love God, you really love God, then it is impossible to not give to Him. Because love always gives.

So, I’m asking the question, “What’s that in your hand?” Let God use it and watch him begin to bless you!

Today is the first day of a new year, a new season, a new beginning for some. We need to remember that God insures we remain on the right path when we follow his guidance, his direction, but we have some responsibilities as well. We need to lead the best lives that we can in this new season.

We need to not conform to society and live a good life, a righteous life. We need to keep our Faith strong, our Hope alive and our Prayers never ending. And God will listen and lead us to and through today and tomorrow and every day forward. God Bless each and everyone of you.
