My Song of Life by Deborah Waldron Fry
Beloved. Do you hear the Winds blowing? The song you hear rumbling in the distance, it is Mine. Salvation is here, My Child. I am singing over you and stirring everything inside of you. The song began on the day you were born and will never fade.

You are an eternal being. You are My Beloved Child, a child of Light and Life, My offspring. You are a beautiful song that I am singing. Your very DNA is playing our Song. You have become a NEW creation. Old things have passed away. You are a composition that I have lovingly crafted before you were ever born. I am that new song in your heart.

My Spirit dwells in you now. Although the enemy has tried to disrupt our communion with his lies and dissonance, I am surrounding you with songs of deliverance. Listen with the ears of your spirit. Things are being realigned and brought back into harmony as you look to Me. The enemy's lies are just a noise in your ear. Come to Me and rest in My Love. Listen with your heart to My Song of LIFE flowing from the Throne of Grace.

Never for one minute have I left your side, Dear One. We are One. The songs of heaven have become the harmony you dwell in. In Me you live and move and have your being. The LORD your God is in your midst, the Mighty One who saves. I rejoice over you with gladness. I quiet you with My Love. I exult over you with loud singing.

...DISSONANCE: A lack of harmony among musical notes. A tension or clash resulting from the combination of two disharmonious or unsuitable elements.

...HARMONY:the combination of simultaneously sounded musical notes to produce chords and chord progressions having a pleasing effect. The quality of forming a pleasing and consistent whole, agreement or concord.

...Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, the Mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.

...Psalm 32:7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance.

...Acts 17:28 ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘ We are His offspring.’

...Psalm 40:3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.

...Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with Your blood You purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation."

A Christian in Survival Mode by Tammy Lang Jensen
Are you a thriving Christian, or a Christian in survival mode? Standing with your back towards the wind, head bowed down, just trying to survive the storm.

I declare today is a new day in the kingdom of heaven.

The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter into the full light of day (Proverbs 4:18).

The glory of the Lord has risen upon you, and your kingdom assignment will be realized. As deep calls unto deep, so I am calling unto you. Wooing you back to me, enticing you with my steadfast love. Be strong and courageous.

Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). He will draw a safe boundary line for you, he will protect you from the storm. The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord (Psalm 31:24). Spread your wings, be ready to fly at a moments notice.

I am coming to rescue you. You will not leave in haste or running for your lives; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard (Isaiah 52:12). Why do we worry and fret so, the God of the universe has our back. God has made you a fortified strong tower. You can weather any storm, you can persevere through any trial. Your feet are like Hinds feet, planted firmly upon the rock.

The joy of the Lord is our strength, the prayers of a righteous person a strong tower. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). I see a line of Christians, driving the enemy back. Learning to walk in power and authority, learning to recognize their birthright.

Born to a King, ransomed by a Savior. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome ALL the power of the enemy; and nothing shall harm you (Luke 10:19). Rather you look to the left or the right, I will be there guiding you. Hold no worry in your heart for tomorrow, because I am already there waiting on you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20).

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). So the next time you hear thunder in the distance, say these words after me, “GOD’S GOT THIS!”....

Destructive Criticism by John Hagee
And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.

Destructive Criticism Will Lose Its Hold On Us When We Decide To Become Father Pleasers Instead Of People Pleasers!

If Jesus promised that criticism would be the result of living a godly life in a godless society, why should we be so surprised and upset when it comes?  One reason is that many of us were raised with the notion that we must please everyone at all times.

What rubbish!  Jesus was the Son of God.  He was absolute perfection in human flesh.  He couldn’t please everyone, and neither can we.

I know forty-year-old people who are still trying desperately to accommodate the unreasonable demands of their parents.  When their parents criticize them for not being attentive enough, they go into a funk.  Scripture says that we are to leave our parents and become part of the new family created when we get married Matthew 19:5.  I believe the same principle applies to single adults who have left home and set out on their own.

Certainly, it’s right to honor our parents.  But it is unscriptural to let them dominate our lives.  We must cut the umbilical cord and close the door to continued criticism designed to manipulate us, our spouses and our children.

Open Heavens: Accessing Hidden Secrets by Pastor E.A Adeboye
Wednesday May 2nd 2018
Memorise: The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. Psalm 25:14

Read: Daniel 9:1-3 (KJV)
1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Read: Daniel 9:20-22 (KJV)
20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;
21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

Message:
Our Heavenly Father has access to all the secret things of life, and He may choose to share some of these secrets with any of His children. One reason why He does this is to provide information that will help in the fulfilment of our destinies. He also reveals secrets to help us avert pending calamity. Daniel’s experience in today’s Bible reading reveals some of the God-ordained means of accessing hidden secrets that are vital to success in life. In the place of prayer and studying God’s word, Daniel gained access to secrets vital to the liberation of his people. May you receive access to hidden secrets that will accelerate this fulfilment of your destiny today in Jesus’ Name.

A lady once visited me in the office to complain about her inability to attract a suitor in marriage, and she was advancing in age. The Lord immediately revealed the source of her problem to me, and I told her to go and announce to her family members including her mother that anyone behind her problem would die within seven days, if the person refused to repent. A few days later, this lady came back to see me with her mother, who angrily demanded to know why I sent her daughter to pass a death sentence on her.

I answered her that I did not pass a death sentence on her or on anyone else for that matter, but that my Daddy clearly said that anyone behind her daughter’s inability to marry would die within seven days unless he or she chose to repent. This elderly woman then asked her daughter to excuse us for a private discussion. She asked me if what I said was the truth, and I told her in clear terms that this person would surely die within seven days unless he or she put an end to the wickedness against this lady. She then confessed to me that her daughter was the only one taking care of her, and so she was afraid that she would be abandoned if her daughter were to get married, which is why she did not want to let her daughter get married. She then immediately promised to let her go. A few weeks later, this lady met a suitor and got married thereafter. I decree that God will release hidden secrets that will accelerate the fulfilment of your destiny today in Jesus’ Name.

There are two main sources of knowledge: sense and revelation. Many people operate at the level of sensual knowledge and are ignorant of the other. Sensual knowledge is available through formal or informal learning. While sensual knowledge is earthly, revelation knowledge is supernatural and comes only from God. Sensual knowledge is limited, sometimes inaccurate and often leads to uncertainty, but revelation knowledge brings assurance, confidence and peace. Do you have access to revelation knowledge?

Prayer Point:
Father, please open my eyes to the secret things that will make a difference in my life, and help me make a difference in my community.

Train Your Spirit by Gloria Copeland
It [grace] has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world.

Titus 2:12, The Amplified Bible

When an athlete goes into training, he practices to improve his skills. He works hard, repeating the same motions over and over until they become what we’d call “second nature” to him.

Most of us understand how crucial that kind of training is in the physical realm. We know that you simply can’t be a winner without it. But did you know we can train ourselves that same way where spiritual things are concerned?

That’s right! Hebrews 5:14 says we can train our senses to discern between good and evil. When you train, or practice, for something, you expose yourself daily to whatever it is you want to become. You practice it over and over until it becomes second nature to you. People who are lazy have practiced being lazy. People who are disciplined have practiced being disciplined.

Spending time with God is “spirit” practice. As you do it diligently, your spirit will grow stronger and will start to overcome the habits of the flesh.

If, for example, you have trouble getting up in the morning to spend time with God before the busyness of the day begins, if you’ve been giving in to your flesh and staying in bed, then you’ll have to start practicing getting up. The more you practice it, the easier it will be.

Don’t expect yourself to do it perfectly right from the beginning. Don’t get discouraged when you stumble and fail. You’re just out of practice. Get back on your feet and go at it again!

Become a spiritual athlete. Put yourself in training by practicing the things of God. Build your spirit muscles through fellowship with Him. You will be surprised to find just how much of a winner you can be.

God Is in Nature By Billy Graham
When I consider thy heavens . . .
—Psalm 8:3

To look into a microscope is to see another universe so small that only the electronic microscope can even find it. For instance, it is revealed that one single snowflake in a snowstorm with millions of other snowflakes is the equivalent of twenty billion electrons. Scientists are learning that the miniature world of a single living cell is as astonishing as man himself. God says that we can learn a great deal about Him just by observing nature. Because He has spoken through His universe, all men are without excuse for not believing in Him. This is why the Psalmist said, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalm 14:1).

Prayer for the day

How Do You Find God’s Will? by Rick Warren
“God . . . invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, even Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9 TLB).

God isn’t playing games with you. He wants you to understand his will, his purpose, and his plan for your life.

You may say, “I want God to guide me, but I still get confused. I don’t know what to do.” Often the problem is we’re looking for the wrong thing. You need to know what you’re looking for before you can find it.

So, what is God’s will?

God’s will is not a feeling.

Maybe you are looking for a feeling or a supernatural sign. You want God to pull your heartstrings so you’ll know exactly what to do.

The problem is that feelings are unreliable; they will often guide you the wrong way. Feelings can come from fatigue, hormones, or an event you’ve just experienced. Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is deceitful” (NIV). Even your heart plays tricks on you. Even the Devil can create a feeling. If I had listened to my feelings, I never would have married my wife, Kay. The day before the wedding, my feelings said, “Run!” But that wasn’t God’s will. That was fear!

Don’t wait for a feeling when you’re trying to figure out God’s plan for your life.

God’s will is not a formula.

In our culture, we want everything to be easy. We want things to follow a simple formula that will instantly change our lives. We want a step-by-step guide.

But there’s a problem with this approach: There’s no room for mistakes. If God’s will is a recipe, what happens if you leave out one ingredient? Leaving baking soda out of a recipe is the difference between a birthday cake and a pancake. What if you have “52 Steps to Knowing God’s Will,” and you skip step 37?

God’s will is not a closed system. It is dynamic! It is not always an issue of choosing A or B. In fact, many times you can choose from A to Z, and any of them will be okay. It’s your choice. Why would God give you a brain and not expect you to use it? He lets you make choices, and he gives you second chances.

If God’s will is not a feeling or a formula, what is it?

God’s will is a relationship.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:9, “God . . . invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, even Christ our Lord” (TLB).

We find very little in the Bible about the technique of knowing God’s will. But we see thousands of verses that talk about developing a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Why? Because God’s will is a relationship.

The better you get to know God, the less confusion you’ll have about what his will is. Get to know God, and everything else becomes secondary.

Talk It Over

If you experience a feeling that you believe is telling you something about God’s will, what is a right, appropriate response?
Why do you think God allows us to make choices and even mistakes when we are searching for his will?
How well do you know God — and how can you get to know God better?

Grow Your Faith by Joel Osteen
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
Romans 10:17, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:

Scripture tells us that every person has been given a measure of faith. Faith can grow and increase, or it can be diminished. Notice today’s scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word of God one time.” It’s by hearing—present tense. Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instant. But most of the time, we need to hear God’s truth over and over again in order for it to become active in our lives. The more we hear the Word, the more His truth chisels away at the doubt and unbelief that’s been built up over the years. His truth sets us free and causes our faith to grow!

Just as a seed needs water daily to grow, your spirit needs the Word of God daily. Your faith needs to be watered by His Word. It can be as simple as selecting a few scriptures to meditate on daily. Write them down and carry them in your purse or wallet. Read them out loud over and over. Let His truth sink down into your heart and move you forward into the freedom and victory He has prepared for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father, thank You for Your Word that is living and active and growing in my life. I submit myself to You today and ask You to teach me Your ways. Give me insight into Your Word so that I may know You in Jesus’ name. Amen."

Hunger and Thirst for Peace by Joyce Meyer
...Live in peace, and [then] the God of love [Who is the Source of affection, goodwill, love, and benevolence toward men] and the Author and Promoter of peace will be with you.

— 2 Corinthians 13:11 AMPC

When Jesus sent out the disciples two by two to preach and heal, He told them to go into each city, find in it a suitable house in which to stay, and to say to the people, "Peace be unto you." He went on to say that if they were accepted, they should stay there and minister. But if they were not accepted, they were to leave, shaking the very dust of that place off their feet (see Matthew 10:11-15).

I used to wonder why Jesus said that. Then the Lord revealed to me that if the disciples remained in a house or city that was in strife, they could not do any real work there. Do you know why? Because strife grieves the Holy Spirit. When peace leaves, the Holy Spirit leaves, and He is the one who does the real work.

When you picture Jesus going about ministering to others, how do you see Him? Certainly not with the hurry-up attitude we often have. Don't you instead get an image of Him ministering in quiet, tranquil peace? That is a trait you and I need to develop. As ambassadors for Christ, we need to be more like our Master. If we want to do anything for our Lord and Savior, we need to learn to hunger and thirst for peace.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for Your peace. Please reveal any areas of my life where I am allowing strife to creep in. Help me to become a “maker and maintainer of peace” everywhere I go (see Matthew 5:9). In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

TUESDAY
01
Ephesians 1:3-14

Do you ever feel as if the Christian life is nothing but sacrifice? After all, Jesus said those who follow Him must deny themselves, take up their cross daily, and follow Him (Luke 9:23). If we look at salvation only from an earthly perspective, it may seem costly, but today’s passage opens our eyes to the vast riches of grace that God has lavished upon us in Christ Jesus.

From start to finish, our salvation includes an abundance beyond imagination. The climax of these spiritual blessings is found in Ephesians 1:11: “We have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose.” At the moment we come to faith, we receive every benefit mentioned in today’s passage, along with the promise of future blessings. The Holy Spirit within us is the pledge, or deposit, guaranteeing our inheritance.

Let’s consider just one aspect of our amazing legacy in Christ—our physical form. Philippians 3:21 says that when Jesus returns, He will “transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory.” Right now we groan in bodies weakened and corrupted by sin, but these will be changed in the twinkling of an eye when Jesus comes for us.

John describes it this way: “We know that when He appears, we will be like Him” (1 John 3:2). God’s purpose of glorifying His Son in us will then be accomplished as we are fully conformed to Christ’s likeness. So how are we to live in light of our coming inheritance? John summarizes the answer quite nicely in the next verse: “Everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”

You Are Abraham's Heed by Jerry Savelle
May 1, 2018
And if you are Christ’s, the you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29 NKJV)

The biblical term “Abraham’s seed” refers in both the Old and New Testaments to those who have received righteousness (right standing before God) by faith.

When we receive righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ, we are called Abraham’s seed.

God made many promises to Abraham’s seed, and He established an inheritance for each and every one. This inheritance becomes available to each and every individual the moment he or she receives righteousness by faith.

To find out what belongs to you, read Deuteronomy 28. You’ll see that God promised you’ll be blessed coming in and blessed going out. You’ll be blessed in the city and blessed in the field. You’ll be blessed in everything you set your hand to do.

God said He would make you the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. He declared that when your enemy comes in one way, God will cause him to flee seven ways!

God loves you and wants you to enjoy the inheritance He has prepared for you. Determine today to study God’s Word and discover all the promises that are yours. And then, make the decision to receive all that is yours, giving glory to God.

Confession: Thank You, Father, for loving me enough to leave me a wonderful inheritance through my faith in Jesus, who made me righteous. As Abraham’s seed, I know I am a rightful heir to this inheritance, and I determine to discover and receive all that you have prepared for me.

Jesus Is God's Satisfaction by Joseph Prince
Leviticus 1:9

…And the priest shall burn all [the pieces of the bull] on the altar as a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.

When Jesus was on the cross, He did more than just die for your sins. His one sacrifice did not just remove your sins, but it also clothed you in His righteousness and perfection. Jesus became the true “burnt sacrifice”.

In the Old Testament, whenever someone offered a burnt sacrifice, the perfection of the animal came on him. In the same way, every perfect attribute of Jesus your “burnt sacrifice” comes on you when you take Him as your Savior. And because God sees you clothed with Christ, you have the same acceptance and favor with Him that Jesus has!

When Jesus was offered on the cross, the fire of God brought out His perfections like perfume to God. In that one sacrifice, Jesus’ obedience and perfections rose as “a sweet aroma to the Lord”, which is what is emitted when the offering is burnt. This “sweet aroma” speaks of a savor of rest to God. Jesus’ perfect sacrifice gave God so much satisfaction that He rested.

You can also rest in the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, knowing that what He did, He did for you—“Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma”. (Ephesians 5:2) You can rest knowing that God the Father is satisfied with you because His Son’s sacrifice has caused His heart to rest with regard to you. You can rest because Jesus is God’s satisfaction for you.

Today, as you come before God, say, “Father, I thank You that Jesus is such a delight and joy to You. He satisfies Your heart completely. And what He did, He did for me. Because Jesus so satisfies You, I know that You are satisfied with me. Because Jesus is Your delight, I am also Your delight. Because Jesus so pleases You, I know I please You too. And because Jesus is my righteousness and perfection, I stand righteous and perfect before You.”

Beloved, when you speak of Christ and His finished work, it goes up to God as a sweet-smelling aroma, a savor of rest. And if God can rest in the perfect sacrifice of His Son, you can too!
