Jesse Duplantis ministers Wednesday evening at the 2012 Southwest Believers' Convention. On how money works,

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (1 Peter 2:21).

In everything, the Lord Jesus should be your role model. Emulate Him in all things. Make up your mind about this. Walk in love; walk in the Word of God, as He did when He walked the earth. Think like Him. Talk like Him. Act like Him. Speak His words. Use His words. Speak His language. Make that decision.

Keep the thoughts of Jesus burning in your mind; think about Him. Meditate on His words, and talk about Him. Declare your love for Him and talk about it. Be quick to let others know how much you love Him in your promptness to do His Word. Be afire for Him. Stir the embers within you, so you have that fire all the time about Jesus Christ. Why is this so important?

It’s because, in heaven, nothing else matters, but Jesus. This is the One who gave His life for us; who died for us. He gave everything. He said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). Give Him your mind; give Him your heart; give Him your attention. If you give Him your heart, your love, and your all, He’ll give you a fulfilment that you could never know otherwise.

Everything in the universe is about Jesus. He’s the embodiment of God’s love. God has expressed Himself and His love in and through Jesus. All that the Father is, and does, is wrapped around Jesus. This is the reason you must love Jesus with all your heart and give Him your all. Let your love and commitment to Him be revealed in your manner of life; your words, actions and decisions. Let Him be all that matters to you, and He’ll make your life, not just beautiful, but all that He’s destined it to be.

CONFESSION
I’m crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. My greatest desire is to be all that Christ wants me to be, living in accordance with His will and purpose for me. Amen.

Message:
A lot of Christians see idolatry or idol worship as something no longer happening in our modern age, or only affecting people in very remote parts of the world, and so they do not pay close attention to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying about it.


May I announce to you that idolatry is not just about worshipping idols, it comes in different forms and can indeed be very subtle. One form in which idolatry expresses itself today is the attitude of seeking help from powers other than God Almighty. When we get help from any other source, our allegiance will gradually begin to shift towards such powers that be. God did not mince words when He declared in Exodus 20:5 that He is a jealous God. He is therefore not ready to share those He calls His own with any so-called powers anywhere. Imagine a wife of a great baker going to beg for a loaf of bread from a bachelor living next door, when she has access to her husband’s entire bakery. This paints a fairly good picture of what it means of God when we His children look away from Him to other creators of His, including the devil and his agents, for help. The most painful thing here is that lasting help does not come from such places. The wife in our illustration can get a loaf of bread from the bachelor and still run out of bread, but she can get an unending supply of bread from her husband’s bakery if only she relies on him alone as her source. God can meet your peculiar needs to the very last detail and supply all of your desires. Zachariah 10:1 says:


“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bring clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.”

The only sure source of help is the Almighty God, with whom there is no impossibility (Luke 1:37). The response of the king of Israel in today’s Bible reading is very profound, and it should continually resonate in your heart whenever you are in need. Here is God’s immutable promise to His children in Isaiah 41:10:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Beloved, where are you looking for help? It is a great mistake if you are not looking towards the Almighty God. I encourage you to have faith in God and seek Him for the help you urgently need. He will not fail you. The words of today’s memory verse will be your testimony from today onward in Jesus’ Name. It is well with your soul.

Action Point
Cast all your cares upon your heavenly Father today, asking Him to please send you help from His throne of grace, in accordance to His promise in Hebrews 4:16.

As a believer, you actually have residing in you the same new life God gave Jesus when He raised Him from the dead. The old sinner you once were has died. You’ve become a new creation on the inside.

You are full of the resurrection life of God!

But sin, disobedience and living a selfish, carnal life will keep that resurrection life from flowing out. Sin will separate you from the power of God, even though you’re born again. Resurrection life will lay dormant in you if you walk in sin.

You can’t overcome sin by trying to stop sinning, however. You overcome it by walking after the new life God has put within you, by spending time in the Word and in prayer. As you do that, the Spirit of God will strengthen you and enable you to put that sin under your feet.

Remember, though, the Holy Spirit will not subdue those old fleshly habits of yours on His own. He’ll wait on you to take the initiative. Then He will strengthen you to follow through with your decision. He will teach you how to walk in the new life that is on the inside of you.

Take the first step today by asking for His help. Say, “Lord, I desire to experience the power to live by this new life every day. By a decision of my heart, I put down the dictates of sin. I declare myself dead to sin. In Jesus’ Name, I will spend time in prayer and in the Word today. As I do, I believe I’ll receive a Holy Ghost refreshing in my life. I believe I’ll begin to live out the resurrection power that You’ve placed in me!”

The world says that all we need to do is be decent, respectable, and reasonable. True, that is all one needs to do to be a member of the Great Society, but to be a member of the Kingdom of God, there must be an inner change. A Communist in Hyde Park, London, pointed to a tramp and said, “Communism will put a new suit on that man.” A Christian standing nearby said, “Yes, but Christ will put a new man in that suit!”

Prayer for the day
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the change that came deep within me when I received You.

In the Spirit, I heard the Wind, the Holy Spirit, Ruach Ha Kodesh, and He was whispering "Yahweh". 

The Breath Of God, the Spirit was saying, "Yes, yes, yes", which turned into "Yah, Yah, Yah. I AM that I AM."

"Listen, Beloved. Do you hear the Wind blowing? My Name is in these Holy Winds. Yahweh. I am the very Air you breathe. I am your strength and your song, I AM your salvation. I am the All Sufficient One whose Spirit dwells in you.

Hear the gentle whispers of the Spirit. I am saying YES, Dear One. All of My Promises are Yes and Amen. I am the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness. I am that I am. I am He who was, and is, and is to come. I am Healer, I am Provider, I am Deliverer, I am Savior. Nothing is too hard for Me. I ride through the heavens to your help, in My Majesty through the skies. Is there any good thing I would withhold from you, My Child? I have graciously given you all things through the Son. Let My Winds blow away the confusion and doubt in your mind.

Hear the Spirit calling. Hear Him speaking My Truth. For Yah, your Abba Father is saying yes yes yes to you. And you shall prophesy to others. You shall prophesy in My name. Prophesy to the Breath; prophesy, My daughters and My sons, and say to the Breath, Thus says the Lord God, YAHWEH: "Come from the four winds, O Breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” And they shall live!!"

You’ve probably noticed that music and love go together, because music comes from the heart. It’s not something you do just intellectually. It’s something that comes out of your soul, your emotions.

There are many love songs in the world. In fact, there are radio stations dedicated entirely to the love-song format. But did you know that more songs have been written about Jesus Christ than any other topic in the world? Christianity is a singing faith. Why? Because it’s not about religion. It’s about a love relationship—a relationship with God, who loves you so much that he sent his Son to die for you and who wants you to love him back.

Psalm 147:7 says, “Sing out your thanks to him; sing praises to our God” (TLB). Nothing will make you more aware of God’s love and presence in your life than singing and praise.

You may be thinking, “But you don’t understand. I can’t sing.” The Bible says to make a joyful noise. I know you can do that because when you go to a sports game or when somebody’s getting married, you probably make a joyful noise. So just let it out! You don’t have to hit the right note. You just have to make a joyful noise.

Can you worship God outside the church walls? Yes, because worship is simply expressing your love to God. That means you can worship in the shower. You can worship in your backyard mowing the lawn. You can worship washing dishes. You can worship when you’re driving to work or making a deal or walking on the golf course. You can express your love to God anywhere and everywhere. And that means you can sing anywhere and everywhere.
