"SPIRITUAL MATURITY OF A CHRISTIAN" {Part 9} with the sub-titled Topic: CHRISTIAN MATURITY AND THE PROCESS OF GROWTH. TOTAL SUBMISSION TO THE CONTROL BY THE HOLY-SPIRIT. In pursuance of our desire to grow into maturity as Christians, we find out that as we submit more and more to the control of the Holy Spirit, we will also see an increase in the fruit of the Spirit in our lives as could be seen in the book of {Galatians 5 : 22- 23} read thus: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace. Long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.....Gentleness, self-control, Against such, there is no law.
" while the book of (2nd. Peter 1 : 5-8) stated thus: "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge......To knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness. To godliness brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness, love......For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
THE REAL BASIS FOR MINISTRY GROWTH> it is important and crucial to note that spiritual growth is the basis for ministry. The ministry gifts given to the church are to serve the purpose of maturing every believer in Christ knows where he/she falls in as far as the 'FIVE FINGER DIVINE GIFT' is concerned as the book of (Ephesians 4 : 11- 14) stated thus: " And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.
For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ....Till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
