1 Peter 3:34—Do not let your adornment be merely outward; arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel; rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Mother Teresa says all she needs is a dress to wear, a dress to wash, and a dress to mend. Yet American Christians are obsessed with appearance. We feed the body, we rest the body, we put the body in a nice car, we take the body on a nice cruise to the Bahamas, we decorate the body with various colors of paint, we pamper the body; we massage the body with grease at night.
