There Is A Battle For Your Mind:  Carnal Reasoning Verses Spiritual Revelation.  It’s About Doing Things God’s Way As Opposed To Man’s Way!

The logical way to the Promised Land was a 14-day hike straight through the wilderness.  Logic says that’s the way to go.  But God purposely took them the long way around.  Exodus 13:17 says, “When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter.  For God said, ‘if they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.’”

The Bible says there is a war between your mind, the carnal mind, and God’s mind.  Romans 8:7 says, “The carnal mind is enmity against God.”  Romans 12:2 says, “Be not conformed to this world:  but by ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  Philippians 2:5 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”  The Bible says to serve the Lord with all of your heart, soul, mind and body.

God is waging a war for His church through His word.  Satan is waging a war for his people through the television.  You can watch it and see one violent, demonic thing after the other.  Some of your are letting your children be reared by the television.  The television is your baby sitter.  It is your entertainment, and it is filled with things that are contrary to the nature and goodness of God.  On the other hand there is the Bible, which God is trying to get His church to read.  Let me ask you this:  If you watch television 48 hours a week and read God’s word five minutes a week, who’s ruling your family, the Holy Spirit or Hollywood?
