A Time and Season by Tammy Lang Jensen
What if rainbows were your only transportation, and the northern star your only light. Your perception and way of doing things would be greatly altered.

We live in a right now, get it quick, microwave generation. That is why waiting on an assignment from God can be difficult. Wait for the Lord, for he shall surely come.

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed (Habakkuk 2:3). Everything under the sun has a time and a season (Ecclesiastes 3:1). A time to be silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate; a time for war in a time for peace (Ecclesiastes 3:7-8). The gift is in the ability to discern the seasons.

You don’t want to be shouting from the rooftops in a season of silence, anymore than you want to be at odds with your neighbor in a season of peace. Pray for greater discernment every day. Pray that the Father’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Pray that you will not grow weary in well doing. For in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9). There will be hard seasons ahead, that is for sure. But there will also be great times of refreshing. Opportunities to sit at the Father’s feet, and be filled to the full with living water.

Pressed down, shaken together, running over kind of water. The harvester comes that is sure, will you be a helpmate to gather? My life and times are in your hands, burning the chaff from the wheat. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12). Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: gather the wheat into my barn (Matthew 13:30). Will you determine the season, will you be found in the barn?

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you (James 1:5). It is my joy to save you from yourself, if you will slow down long enough to ask. Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28)....
