Just as I designed the giraffe with a long neck to reach the leaves on the tallest trees. Enabling him to get to what sustains him.
So I have design mankind to kneel and pray and have access to Me. As you welcome and give place to the Holy Spirit. The Father will welcome and give place to you. It is all about access to Him who sustains us.
In the same way the spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express (Romans 8:26). The Spirit's presence is shown in someway in each person for the good of all (1 Corinthians 12:7). I hear the Lord saying, turn around when you hear a whisper!
The Holy Spirit is quiet and gentle. Easily grieved and quenched by our words and actions. And, behold, the Lord pass by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and break in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: and after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a Still Small Voice (1 Kings 19:11-12).
Have you heard the quietness of the Lord today? Have you felt the gentle pressure of his hand. The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and he delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the one who holds his hand (Psalm 37:23-24). Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread (Psalm 37:25). You have to fully appreciate the work, that is at work in you. Allowing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to have their way with you.
Oh Lord, you are our Father, we are the clay, and you our Potter; and all of us are the work of your hand (Isaiah 64:8). Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? (Romans 9:21). By the grace given you, do not think of yourself more highly then you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment (Romans 12:3); and walk humbly with your God. But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires.
As the Scriptures say, God opposes the proud but favors the humble (James 4:6). So remember today: walk quietly, humbly, and sober, and let the Holy Spirit have his way....
