The Father was ministering to me this morning about being a lamp with a shade. Reminding me, when you enter a room and the lamp sits up on the table without a shade, the light is bright and harsh and you shield your eyes for a minute. However, if you enter the same room and the lamp has a beautiful colored shade on it.

Suddenly, the room is transformed to warm and inviting. Now you can get close to the light, sit beside it and read a book. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on it’s stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

In the same way let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16). And God said, let there be light, and there was light (Genesis 1:3). Are you God’s light today? Warm and comforting drawing others near to you, or are you the light of the world? Harsh, bright, self-seeking, always needing the applause of people. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues in the streets to be honored by others.

Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that you’re giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you (Matthew 6:2-4). The Father says, to run to him for provision, not the world. But my God shall supply all of your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Bring the whole tithes into the store house, that there may be food in my house.

Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it (Malachi 3:10). Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). I don’t know any human that can make these kinds of promises. Even the richest billionaire, cannot buy back health, if there is no cure.

He is limited by his earthly possessions. However, we serve a limitless God, that can certainly raise you from your deathbed. I have heard, put your money where your mouth is. I say, no thank you. I will put my money where my God is. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:21).....
