Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expected.
Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality (Romans 12:11-13). He is your God in disaster, he is your God on the mountaintop. He will go to your highest heights with you, and he will comfort you in your lowest depths. What are you trusting him with, are you bold enough to leave it in his care? I trust the Lord with my whole heart, great is my expectation.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Who is guiding your path today, what overwhelming voice has taken control. But if not, then listen to me; be silent, and I will teach you wisdom (Job 33:33). For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her (Proverbs 8:11).
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as cornerstones, polished after the similitude of a palace (Psalm 144:12). My people are like fine polished stones, carved for my good pleasure. Strong and steady on their course, lacking nothing. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:4). I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful (2 Timothy 4:7).
You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God (Isaiah 62:3). You are carved and multifaceted, don’t let the world darken your light. Leave a little sparkle wherever you go....
