I am crying out for watchmen on the wall, where are my army generals. Have you fallen asleep at your post, could you not watch with me one hour. JESUS WEPT (John 11:35)
....Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” He asked Peter (Matthew 26:40).
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). On your walls O Jerusalem, I have appointed and stationed watchmen (prophets). Who will never keep silent day or night; you who profess the lord, take no rest for yourselves (Isaiah 62:6 AMP). When you are weary, I will strengthen you. When you are downtrodden, I will be the lifter of your head. But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard (Isaiah 52:12).
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing well quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and glory of the Lord will protect you from behind (Isaiah 58:8). I have made you a city on a hill, your light will shine forth for all to see. I have placed you inside fortified walls. I have taken you into the cleft of the rock, and underneath my mighty wings. Nothing by any means can harm you.
Those who persecute you, persecute me. Those who war with you, war with me. They shall hear the trumpet blast and from the east they shall come. Riding upon horses of authority, swelling with indignation and justice. These are my elect, with whom I am well pleased. And he shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (Matthew 24:31).
In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from all over the world (Isaiah 11:11). My hand is mighty to save. I will save you from the hands of the wicked and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel (Jeremiah 15:21). Our Lord God Almighty sings over you. From the depths of the earth, to the highest heights of heaven; he rejoices over you! The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you; and in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). The wind of refreshing is coming, God always equips those whom he calls. He doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called. He chose king David from the least of these, cannot he also choose you? So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?” There is still the youngest, Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep.” Samual said, “Send for him, we will not sit down until he arrives” (1 Samuel 16:11).
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty (1 Corinthians 1:27). How foolish do you think Goliath felt defeated by a small boy and five smooth stones? He picked up five smooth stones from a stream and put them into his shepherd’s bag. Then with only with his shepherds staff and sling, he started across the valley to fight the Philistine (1 Samuel 17:40). I hear there is refreshing water coming to your barren places.
As you cross your valley to face your Philistine; what do you have in your hand? If God is for us, who dare be against us. Then Samson said, “With the jawbone of a donkey, I’ve piled them in heaps! With the jawbone of a donkey, I’ve killed a thousand men (Judges 15:16). So God used a small shepherd boy and five smooth stones to defeat a giant. He used Samson and a donkey’s jawbone to kill a thousand men.
When God is in it, you can win it. You have all power and authority in your hands to defeat the enemy. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome ALL the power of the enemy; NOTHING will harm you (Luke 10:19). So again I call to you, “My watchmen on the wall!” Get out your shield of Faith, your sword of the Spirit (the word of God) and resume your post. God is counting on you, don’t let his work be in vain. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, stand firm.
Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). And I will give him the key to the house of David— The highest position in the royal court. When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them (Isaiah 22:22).....
