The Trumpet Blast by Tammy Lang Jensen
To armor bear, to stand guard, to take authority. This is what I am calling many to in this hour. The ability to lay your own wants and desires down, and stand in the gap for another. To pick up your shield and defend, to have a servant’s heart.

To be selfless in your appropriation of your time. To stand on the wall and watch at the ready, to intercept the fiery darts of the enemy. And his armor bearer said to him, do all that is in your heart. Do as you wish. Behold, I am with you heart and soul (1 Samuel 14:7). Then David came to Saul and attended him; and Saul loved him greatly, and he became his armor bearer (1 Samuel 16:21). You can rest assured if you get on the front lines for Jesus, he will raise up an armor bearer for you.

It may be someone you know or a total stranger who hears your name in their prayer closet. So again today, I hear the trumpet blast. Calling you into battle. Who or what you become is up to you. Stand firm, and see the salvation and deliverance of the Lord. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you!

Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror (James 2:19). As in Armor Bearer, be a living, breathing declaration to the atmosphere of divine protection. Willing to petition the courts of heaven day and night. Willing to stay your ground and intercede. Willing to ward off weariness and fatigue, and fight the good fight of faith.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6). If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles (Matthew 5:41). Trapes the last mile with another, and God will trapes the last mile with you...
