Not everything is answerable, not everything is controllable, and not everything is written in stone.
Your life moves like liquid and flows like a river. And sometimes it will feel like sand slipping between your fingers. That is why complete surrender to the Lord is so important. The Lord invites you to come ponder the 10 Commandments again, they were written in stone.
When God finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him two tablets of stone inscribed by the very finger of God. The tablets contained the 10 Commandments. When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain (Exodus 32:19). It would appear even something written in stone can disappear and be destroyed in a moment of anger. However, we all know the 10 Commandments stand till this day.
The Lord allowed Moses to come a second time to Mount Sinai and receive the Commandments again. The Lord remains full of grace and mercy towards his people even in moments of great despair. There is a great mist arising upon the land. The Spirit of the Lord moves about unhindered. So he said to me, this is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit.’ Says the Lord Almighty (Zechariah 4:6). For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). My people must diligently seek, inquire and pursue unity!
They must chase after it with their whole heart. The enemy comes but to kill, steal and destroy. I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly. Ask yourself, what does HAVE LIFE mean to you. To have love, to have your health, to have wealth, joy, peace, laughter, freedom, salvation, purpose, passion. What does Life look like to you today and how are you actively pursuing that. Does that line up with what God says about you? I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14).
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). You are called by him and for him, relent under the gentle pressure of his hand. Why would you waste another day doing things your way. Submit before it is too late. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). The Lord has a plan for you.
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ (Colossians 2:2)...
