Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
What are you chasing? Who are you chasing? Stop right now!
What do you do when you don't know what to do? Sit down until you figure it out? The Bible says to be still. The answer might be right under your feet, but you're so busy running in every direction that you can't see what is right in front of you!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Why? Because human understanding is flawed at best; it is shortsighted. If you are constantly chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you don't have time to listen for the still, small voice that is trying to lead you down paths of righteousness.
Before your world implodes, sit down and take a breath! Cry out to your Father and know that He is listening to your heart. He knows your need before the words ever leave your lips. Give Him the opportunity to intervene. Be still and know.
