As I was preparing myself to get quiet to hear from the Lord. Before I even settled in, I heard this booming from heaven, “UNEXPECTED MIRACLES!”
They will be unexpected in that you didn’t ask for them, you can’t plan for them, they just show up in amazing ways. Will you be ready to receive when they arrive. Jesus did only a few miracles in Nazareth because of their unbelief (Matthew 13:58).
If the young man at the corner store asked to lay hands on you and pray for healing, would you have a heart to receive? Sometimes the gift wrap on your MIRACLE might not look like you think. Don’t go by what your eyes see are your ears hear, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit wherever he chose (Hebrews 2:4).
God is not bound by time, space or social status. He will bless who he wants, when he wants. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).
The Lord then asked me to come sit next to him under a tree. He looked at me intently and said, “What do you think the MIRACLE of happiness looks like?” I thought about it for a minute and realized I didn’t have a clue. I thought about the laughter of a child or a long awaited family vacation. I thought about the tears of joy of a bride on her wedding day. The laughter of a grandparent that just received a perfectly placed kiss on the cheek from their grandchild. I finally looked at the Lord and said,”Father what does the MIRACLE of happiness look like?”
He said, It looks like a man set free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol after years of pain. It looks like a mother who just found out she is pregnant after 20 years of trying and standing on my promises. It looks like a child who came in child like Faith praying every night, and received a bike Christmas morning.
The Lord is proposing a question to you. What would an UNEXPECTED MIRACLE look like to you? And more importantly, do you have faith to believe. And he said to her, daughter your faith has made you whole; go in peace and be sound from your affliction (Mark 5:34). Our Faith moves the hand of God. Our praise opens the heavens and sets the stage. Our joy prepares our hearts to receive. And our charity to others catches the eye of the Father. But with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Let your love open the hand of God. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). If I could speak all the languages of heaven and of angels, but I didn’t love others I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1). Are you loving others, have you extended a helping hand. Could it be that you are someone’s UNEXPECTED MIRACLE.
So you have a choice, sit quietly under a tree, hands folded, waiting upon your miracle. Are you could go out and desire to be a Miracle. And who knows in all of God‘s greatness, maybe both will happen. I prophesy the double blessing of God over you. That this is your season of UNEXPECTED MIRACLES. That the Lord’s face is ever shining upon you, and the goodness of the Almighty is chasing you down. May you out run the chariots like Elijah, encourage yourself like David, and be promoted from the pasture to the palace.
Who knows if the Lord has not raised you up for a time such as this Esther. May the power of the Lord fall on you today, and give you strength for every battle. May he move your mountains and command your enemies to go. May he grant you wisdom and valor, so on the day you face Goliath all you will need is five smooth river stones. And I Prophesy an added measure of grace over you today, to move effortlessly into your MIRACLES. In the mighty name of Jesus amen....
