Hear the word of the Lord,”NO MORE DELAY!” The word of the Lord came to me: Son of Man, the Israelites are saying, the vision he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies about the distant future.
Therefore say to them, this is what the sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the sovereign Lord (Ezekiel 12:26-28). If I said it, I will make good on it in my perfect timing.
The Lord is not careless or haphazard, everyone of your steps has been ordered by the Lord. We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps (Proverbs 16:9). Is the Lord directing your path, or are you wandering around in your own human understanding. It is good to have an intelligent thinking mind, but don’t let it overrule what the Lord is trying to do in your life. To everything in this life, there is a season. A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace (Ecclesiastes 3:8).
If I asked you what season you are in, would you know like Issachar. Would you know if it was time to rest in the Lord‘s love, or hit the prayer closet and pray like someone set you on fire. From the tribe of Issachar there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take (1 Chronicles 12:32). Our God transcends time and space, does he not know the end from the beginning? Is he not the Alpha and Omega? Then rest in his love, trust what he tells you.
And know that he is God above all else. Know the first and greatest commandment. Jesus said to them, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment (Matthew 22:36-38). So if you are loving the Lord and obeying the Lord, your feet will stay far from trouble. Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will sustain you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall (Psalm 55:22). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. Turn your mind off and your spirit on, and hear what the Lord is saying. It just might surprise you....
